Our Club is delighted to welcome distinguished Professor Robert Schmuhl '70 to present "Lessons of the 2012 Election" as part of the Alumni Association's Hesburgh Lecture Series. Similar to our popular event with Professor Schmuhl several years ago, the event is perfectly timed to occur just two days after the Presidential Election.
Please join us at Clydes at Gallery Place (707 7th Street NW, DC; Chinatown metro) on Thursday, November 8 from 6:30pm to 9:30pm. Cocktails and appetizers will be served from 6:30pm to 9:30pm, with Professor Schmuhl's presentation beginning at 7:30pm. The cost is only $5 for dues-paid club members and $10 non-dues-paid members. Professor Schmuhl is the Walter H. Annenberg-Edmund P. Joyce Professor of American Studies and Journalism, and director of the John W. Gallivan Program in Journalism, Ethics, and Democracy. He is an expert on US Government and US History and the author or editor of 11 books. A frequent contributor to popular publications, his columns, features, and reviews have appeared in The Chicago Tribune, The Philadelphia Inquirer, USA TODAY, The Washington Post, The Boston Globe, Sports Illustrated, Notre Dame Magazine, and many other newspapers and magazines. He has appeared on CNN, PBS, NPR, the Voice of America, the BBC, Sky News, and several other television and radio programs.
