*MILITARY OUTREACH - VETERANS DAY GATHERING 11/11*
ND active duty, veterans, friends and loved ones,
This Sunday, ND-DC Military Outreach is organizing a gathering for Veterans Day. Due to Notre Dame's storied relationship with the Navy, we will be meeting at the United States Naval Memorial to remember those that have served, enjoy each other's company and share stories that embody the motto of "God, Country, Notre Dame".
We will meet at 11:45am on the south side of the memorial to enjoy a reading from the authors of "Uncommon Valor: the Medal of Honor" at 12:00pm and a wreath laying ceremony at 1:00pm. Afterward, we will head to Penn Quarter Sports Tavern just a block away. We look forward to seeing you there!

kwelton@alumni.nd.edu*PARTICIPATE IN ALUMNI BASKETBALL/VOLLEYBALL LEAGUES - DEADLINE 11/14*
There's been some interest in fielding a Notre Dame alumni team for co-ed basketball and/or volleyball in the Capital Alumni Network (CAN) winter league. Basketball requires 3 men and 2 women on the court; volleyball requires 3 of each gender. Both sports are played in Alexandria school gyms, and both have weekly games beginning in January and ending with a tournament at the end of March. More information is available on the CAN website: http://www.dcalum.org/.
In order to field a team for either sport, we would need to have at least 10-15 players committed to attending most of the games. FYI, spouses count as alumni. If interested, please send an email to jdemott@alumni.nd.edu no later than 11/14/2012 and specify which sport(s) you'd like to play.
*ND-WIN MENTORSHIP PROGRAM AND HAPPY HOUR REGISTRATION 11/14*
ND WIN is rolling out a Mentorship Program and we invite you to register to participate in the program and to attend the upcoming Mentorship Program Kick-off Happy Hour. The ND WIN Mentorship Program is intended to pair up local alumni to create valuable and informal mentoring relationships. Mentoring is beneficial to both parties involved as it provides a way for more experienced professionals to give back and for Proteges to advance their careers through guidance and advice. The Kick-off Happy Hour will be a great opportunity to learn more about the program and to network with other local alumni. Please see below for details and registration information.
