Looking for Temporary Housing
***(NEW) My name is Carina Suarez, and I am in the Notre Dame Class of 2016. I will be interning with National Geographic Channel and am looking for somewhere to stay in DC from June 1st to August 23rd (a little over 11 weeks). I'm more than willing to help with household chores--although I am really not a good cook so you'd probably want me to stick to cleaning--and am pretty organized. I have three dogs back home, so pets are totally okay with me. I don't smoke and would prefer to live with other nonsmokers. I'd also prefer to live with either all girls or a family. Proximity to a Metro station would be ideal since I will not have a car. My budget tops out at $1000 a month. You can reach me at csuarez3@nd.edu. Thank you!***
*** Matt Arth, Notre Dame Law Class of 2015, is looking for an apartment to sublet from June 21st to August 29th, although I'm flexible on starting a sublet earlier and not staying through the end of August if a place is only available until the middle of August. I'm 25, born and raised near Dallas/Fort Worth, went to undergrad at Fordham, worked at an advertising agency in NYC for a year, then headed to South Bend to pursue commercial law. I'll be interning with the USTDA's Office of General Counsel in Arlington, so proximity to a Metro station (preferably Blue/Orange line) would be great. I'm very neat and organized, and my mother tells me I'm easy to get along with. Also, I have no pets (sadly) and I don't smoke. Please feel free to reach out if you have a place or a room that you're looking to sublet and I'm sure we can work something out. Arth.Matthew@me.com. Thanks!***
***Connor Roth, Notre Dame Class of 2015, is looking for a room or apartment to sublet from May 30th to August 3rd. I am studying Economics and Constitutional Studies and will be at GWU doing research for the summer. A location near campus or the orange/blue metro lines is preferable. Working with a budget of $700-750 per month. Please contact me atcroth1@nd.edu -- thanks!***
***I will be graduating in May and starting work near Ballston in Arlington on June 30. I would ideally like to live in Ballston or the greater Arlington area (but would be open to DC) with a budget of about $800/month. I am very open to a group house or sharing an apartment with multiple roommates. Under a mile to the metro would be ideal. Please contact me at ckelly17@nd.edu***
***Samuel Leung, Notre Dame Class of 2015, is looking for a room to rent or apartment to rent for 12 weeks in the summer. I am happy to live with a roommate as well. I am a chemical engineer from Granger, IN and I will be interning at MPR in Alexandria, VA this summer. I'm looking to spend no more than $2,500 for the summer. I do not require too much space, but I do need something furnished and ideally either close to a subway station or in Alexandria. I do not smoke or have pets, but I am open to a place with pets. I am very organized and respectful of other people's space as well. If you know of any available rooms or have any suggestions or references, please email me at sleung@nd.edu Thanks!***
***Erin Aucar, Notre Dame Class of 2016, is interning on Capitol Hill with House Representative Louie Gohmert for 6 weeks (May 19-June 26) and is looking for housing. I am a Political Science Major with double minor in Business Economics and Peace Studies originally from Tyler, Texas. I am hoping to minimize costs due to the fact that I am heading to Santiago, Chile shortly after the internship to study abroad in Fall 2014. I am very clean and organized. I'm not picky about housing, I just need a reasonably priced option that isn't far from the Metro. Thanks!***
***Christina Gutierrez, Notre Dame Class of 2015, is looking for a room or apartment to sublet for June and July (and if possible, the first week in August). I am happy to live with a roommate, and have also already been in touch with other ND undergrads who might be interested in rooming with me as well (if you have more than one room available). I am a Political Science and Romance Languages (French and Italian) double major and I will be interning this summer at Catholic Charities, working on Food and Agricultural Policy. I love to cook, bake, and do yoga, and I do not smoke and or have pets, but would be fine in a home with pets. I'm looking to spend no more than $2,300-$2,800 for the entire summer on housing. Please contact me at cgutier6@nd.edu if you'd like to talk about details! Thanks so much!***
***Tom Swanson, Notre Dame Class of 2013, is looking for a room to rent, inexpensive apartment, or any other type of housing on a tight budget for the 10 weeks in the summer between June-August. I am a law student at Columbia and I will be interning at the Institute for Justice in Arlington (Ballston). I'm looking to spend no more than $2500 for the 10 weeks. I don't need a lot of space or amenities, but I do need something furnished and near an orange line station. Any references, suggestions or other help would be greatly appreciated. I can be reached at tomswanson5@gmail.com Thanks!***
***Margaret Hayes, ND Law (will graduate in 2015) is looking for a room to rent or a roommate to rent/move in together for this summer (June-August). I am originally from Chicago, and went to undergrad at Holy Cross in Massachusetts. I am hoping to find a place in the Judiciary Square area, but am open to looking elsewhere. Budget of approximately $1300/month. I enjoy reading, working out, and going out on weekends. I am very clean and respectful of others space. I have no pets, but I would not mind living with someone who does. If you know of an available room or are looking for a roommate, please email me at mhayes5@nd.edu. Thanks!***
***Juan Rangel, Notre Dame Class of 2015, is looking for a room to rent, inexpensive apartment, or any other type of housing on a tight budget for the 10 weeks in the summer between June-August. I am a Political Science and Latino Studies major originally from Mexico but now living in Central California. I will be interning this summer with the National Immigration Law Center. Budget of approximately $2000-2500 for the entire summer. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated! I can be reached at jrangel2@nd.edu. Thanks!***
