Miriam's Kitchen is committed to ending chronic homelessness in DC by creating meaningful connections with chronically homeless individuals, placing them in permanent supportive housing, and ensuring they have the necessary support to remain in housing. They advocate for permanent supportive housing as a long-term solution, while meeting short-term needs by providing healthy meals and high-quality social services to more than 3,500 chronically homeless individuals each year. In order to keep up with all of their work, volunteers are relied upon to keep their facilities in great shape. We'll be helping them with a big clean up on Saturday, November 23. The event time is 8 AM - Noon, however, we could end early if we have a lot of people. They will also provide pizza for all volunteers. To sign up to volunteer, email dcyp.service@gmail.com .
