[tfctoastmasters:484] TFC Humorous Contest on September 18th

Hello TFC,

I will be the contest chair for the upcoming humorous contest next Wednesday. We are going to need some people to volunteer for roles! We need 3 volunteers to give speeches and the following:

Roles

Contest Master

Chief Judge

Judges (5)

Timers (2)

Ballot Counters (3)

Sergeant at Arms

The rules are rather simple.

Humorous Speech Contest Rules:
1. The subject for the Humorous speech shall be selected by the contestant. The speaker shall avoid potentially objectionable language, anecdotes, and material.
2. The speech must be thematic in nature (opening, body, and close), not a monologue (series of one-liners).
3. Humorous speeches shall be from five to seven minutes. A contestant will be disqualified if the speech is less than four minutes 30 seconds or more than seven minutes 30 seconds.

The theme of the contest will be Family and there will be food and drinks provided.
