| We look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow at DCYP's Annual Meeting & Elections and a special New Member Meet & Greet ! At this meeting we will be inducting new members, voting on the leadership team, and brainstorming on different topics in small breakout groups. There will be some time to network from 6:15-6:30pm, and then the meeting will start promptly at 6:30pm. We will be collecting magazines at the meeting to distribute during Saturday's Food For All service project. You can read below for more details on this service project and email dcyp.service@gmail.com to sign-up.
There is a Key Club and CKI Alumni Reception at the Mellow Mushroom in Adams Morgan July 5. Space is limited, so if you are interested in attending, please read below for more details on how you can RSVP.

Annual Meeting, Elections, and New Member Meet & Greet
Where: West End Library, Second Floor (1300 1101 24th Street, NW )
When: Wednesday, June 26 6:30 - 8:30pm
Metro: Foggy Bottom (Orange / Blue)
Kick off the summer with DCYP by providing valuable feedback and ideas for upcoming activities! At this annual meeting, members can vote for the new leadership team, welcome in new members, and learn how to become involved in the behind the scenes of DCYP. Following the meeting, we will go to McFadden's at 7:30 for the New Member Meet & Greet. To attend the meeting or learn about membership and/or leadership opportunities, email Amanda at dcyp.president@gmail.com. Please bring magazines to the meeting as we are collecting them for the clients of Food for All in preparation for the upcoming service project.
Food For All
Where: Universalist National Memorial Church (1810 16th St NW)
When: Saturday, June 29, 9am - 12pm
Metro: U Street (Green/Yellow) & Dupont Circle (Red)
Volunteer with DCYP at Food for All as we help package and deliver food to home bound residents and DC families in need. From 9-10 am, we will help pack boxes with non-perishable food items. Then, we will divide up into smaller groups in cars and deliver food throughout the city. If you have a car and are willing to help drive a group on deliveries, please let us know. A Capitol 4th Dress Rehearsal
Where: US Capitol (E. Capitol St. and First St. NW )
When: Wednesday, July 3, 5:30 - 10:00pm
Metro: Capitol South (Orange / Blue)
Get up close and personal with the show that is put on for the 4th! Head to the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol on July 3 for a dress rehearsal of the next evening's National Symphony Orchestra concert. Just like the real thing, however, you'll have to allow extra time for security measures: gates open at 3 p.m. and the program begins at 8 p.m. RSVP to dcyp.social@gmail.com. Look for the red balloon!
Key Club and CKI Alumni Reception
Where: Mellow Mushroom (2436 18th Street NW)
When: Friday, July 5 5:30 - 7:00pm
Metro: Woodley Park (Red) & Columbia Heights (Green / Yellow)
Kiwanis International (KI) invites you to attend a special reception for Key Club and CKI Alumni at the Mellow Mushroom in Adams Morgan. The event will take place as thousands of students descend upon DC for the Key Club International Convention.
There is no cost to attend the reception, and KI will provide pizza, a fun program and great giveaways. To learn how to register, contact Amanda at dcyp.president@gmail.com.
Gleaning for AFAC
Where: Miller Farms (10140 Piscataway Road Clinton, Maryland 20735)
When: Saturday, July 13 8:30am - 12:00pm
Metro: Carpools will be arranged
For this unique project, we'll head to a farm near College Park, MD where we'll glean surplus produce that would otherwise be left to waste in the fields. This will provide literally tons of free, fresh and nutritious food to the Arlington Food Assistance Center (AFAC) which serves those in need in our local area. Carpools will be arranged.
