JOHN CARROLL MASS AND BRUNCH (1/11)
The John Carroll Society is preparing for its annual January Baptism of the Lord Mass and Brunch on Sunday, January 11th at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church and Hotel Monaco. This brunch has traditionally provided an opportunity for alumni from Catholic colleges and universities in the DC area to meet and enjoy a thought-provoking lecture from a notable academician. This year we are pleased that the Most Reverend Martin D. Holley, Auxiliary Bishop of Washington, will be the Principal Celebrant and Homilist at the Mass and Reverend Kevin F. O'Brien, S.J., Vice President for Mission and Ministry at Georgetown University, will deliver a lecture titled "Pope Francis: The First Jesuit Pope" at the Brunch. This lecture will be timely given Pope Francis's welcomed visited to the United States next year. For more information visit the John Carroll Society website.
ND-DC ANNUAL CAREER NIGHT (1/15)

Time: 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Where: Law offices of Jones Day on 51 Louisiana Ave NW

Why you should attend:
You have industry experience that you'd like to share. Come share your wisdom with fellow ND graduates who are considering a career in your industry.
You just want to network. This event is always a great networking event and an opportunity to meet new alumni and catch up with those you haven't seen in awhile.
You're actively looking for a job. Even if you're just considering making a job or career change everyone knows that who you know is as important as what you know.
There will be "Industry Specific Tables" set up around the room so you can make relevant connections easier. Please let us know during registration which industry interests you most.
For those of you looking for resume advice or for a new career in the DC metro area:

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED AT THE AN-BRYCE FOUNDATION
Notre Dame alum, Bryant Welters '10, has a need for mentors at The An-Bryce Foundation. It is a private non-profit organization dedicated to serving youth and young adults from under-served communities through academic, career, cultural, and leadership skill development activities.
They are looking for young professionals in the DC area that would be interested in becoming mentors for youth. Anybody who has a college degree or work experience, and is excited about working with youth would be a great candidate! (Note that this is different than the ND-WIN Mentoring Program, which matches seasoned professionals with recent graduates)
Please contact Bryant Welters or Elizabeth Shirley to participate in this great program!
