We will start planning the DCYP Evening at the Gallery and the Spring STEM Carnival. All are welcome to attend! Have a good one! Ashley Upcoming Events​ Special Events Committee Meeting  Where: La Tasca (722 7th Street Northwest)  When: Wednesday, January 28, (6:00 - 7:30pm)  Metro: Chinatown / Gallery Place (Red / Green/Yellow)  Join the Special Events Committee for a Happy Hour and Meeting! We will be setting the plans for our annual "DCYP Evening at the Gallery" as well as discussing the Spring STEM Carnival. Everyone is welcome! Ice Skating at the Sculpture Garden  Where: National Gallery of Art Sculpture Garden (7th St NW & Constitution Ave NW)  When: Thursday, February 5, (6:45 - 8:30pm) *NEW DATE* Metro: Smithsonian (Blue/Orange/Silver) or L'Enfant Plaza (Blue/Orange/Silver/Green/Yellow)  Now that the weather is getting colder, let's take advantage of some fun winter activities! Join us at the ice skating rink at the National Gallery of Art Sculpture Garden - a long time favorite DC ice skating destination! We'll meet at 6:45 so we can go grab our skates and tickets. Happy Hour in the Heights  Where: Meridian Pint (3400 11th Street, NW)  When: Thursday, February 12, (6:00 - 8:00pm)  Metro: Columbia Heights (Green/Yellow)  DCYP Kiwanis is holding our first Happy Hour in the young professional mecca of Columbia Heights! We'll head to craft-beer-crazy Meridian Pint where you'll have your choice of 130+ beers with happy hour deals (http://meridianpint.com/beer/). As always, our February Happy Hour will be a great way to connect with friends, meet other young professionals, and learn about upcoming DCYP events. Eco Stewards Discovery Day Where: Springhill Lake Recreation Center (6101 Cherrywood Lane, Greenbelt, MD 20770) When: Saturday, February 14, (10:00am - 1:00pm)  Metro: Greenbelt (Green/Yellow)  Come join us on Valentines Day volunteer with CHEARS (Chespeake Education, Arts and Research Society) for their Eco Stewards Discovery Day! Located at the Springhill Recreation Center in Greenbelt, MD, we will be helping with the last phase of their Food Forest design. We'll be labeling plants, removing invasive species and working with their young Eco Stewards (5 - 9 yrs old) with terrarium building. This is a great way to start the day with or meet that special someone.
