The event has been rescheduled for Saturday, August 17 at the Washington Printermaker's Gallery in Silver Spring. Buy your tickets before August 1. Capitol St. and First St. NW ) When: Wednesday, July 3, 5:30 - 10:00pm Metro: Capitol South (Orange / Blue) Get up close and personal with the show that is put on for the 4th! Head to the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol on July 3 for a dress rehearsal of the next evening's National Symphony Orchestra concert. Just like the real thing, however, you'll have to allow extra time for security measures: gates open at 3 p.m. and the program begins at 8 p.m. RSVP to dcyp.social@gmail.com. Key Club and CKI Alumni Reception Where: Mellow Mushroom (2436 18th Street NW) When: Friday, July 5 5:30 - 7:00pm Metro: Woodley Park (Red) & Columbia Heights (Green / Yellow) Kiwanis International (KI) invites you to attend a special reception for Key Club and CKI Alumni at the Mellow Mushroom in Adams Morgan. The event will take place as thousands of students descend upon DC for the Key Club International Convention. Gleaning for AFAC Where: Miller Farms (10140 Piscataway Road Clinton, Maryland 20735) When: Saturday, July 13 8:30am - 12:00pm Metro: Carpools will be arranged For this unique project, we'll head to a farm near College Park, MD where we'll glean surplus produce that would otherwise be left to waste in the fields. This will provide literally tons of free, fresh and nutritious food to the Arlington Food Assistance Center (AFAC) which serves those in need in our local area. Carpools will be arranged. Mini Golf and BBQ- NEW Where: National Building Museum (401 F Street NW) When: Wednesday, July 24 6:00 - 8:00pm Metro: Judiciary Square (Red) & Gallery Place / Chinatown (Green / Yellow) Join us for a couple rounds of Mini Golf and BBQ at the Building Museum! Back by popular demand, the Building Museum is sponsoring 2, 9 hole mini golf courses designed by local architects. On July 24th, the Museum is staying open late! This year's charter event will take place at the Washington Printmaker's Gallery in the Pyramid Atlantic Art Center in Downtown Silver Spring and will feature heavy hors d’oeuvres and an open bar selection of local beers and wines. Afterward, continue the celebration with us at some nearby bars in Silver Spring. Wine and gift baskets will be up for raffle in support of the Eliminate Project. ($1 per ticket; members present will receive a complimentary ticket.) Items in the raffle include an exclusive wine tasting for 20 people at Total Wine & Spirits (Valued at $500) as well as gift baskets and tastings at Oak Barrel Vineyard!
