Hi all,
-- Join DCYP Kiwanis tonight at the Foundry United Methodist Church to volunteer with Books to Prisons. At this unique project, we'll open letters from prisoners and send them reading materials that match their interests and special requests. Please arrive promptly at 6pm for the orientation. You can find the group in the basement with DCYP Service Director Habs. To sign up, please RSVP to dcyp.service@gmail.com or reply on Meetup.
Books to Prison

A new favorite, join us as we fulfill prisoners' requests with the Books-to-Prison Project at the Foundry United Methodist Church. We will round up donated books to send to prisoners based on their interests articulated through letters. The B2P project supports prison libraries in all 50 states and sends out more than 4,000 packages annually. This program has been around for more than 10 years and is truly one of a kind. More information can be found here. Contact dcyp.service@gmail.com with questions or to RSVP.
