[tfctoastmasters:626] We need your help

All,

If you hadn't yet heard, our open house is Wednesday, June 3, at 6:45 -- and not June 4 as had previously been indicated.

If you can, please bring a friend and please sign up for a role at the meeting. Notable among the roles needed are Timer and Grammarian. And if you can be there a bit early to help greet folks as the arrive, set up, etc., that would be great also.

If you have any questions whatsoever about this coming Wednesday, please let me know and I'll either answer or direct you to the person who can answer.

Thanks -- and see you Wednesday.

Best,
Mark

FOR CHARITY PURPOSE

Dear Friend.

Good day and God bless you. I feel quite safe and satisfy dealing with you in this charity project.Though, this medium (Internet) has been greatly abused, I choose to reach you through it because it still remains the fastest, surest and most secured medium of communication. However, this correspondence is purely private, and it should be treated as such.

As you read this, I don't want you to feel sorry for me, because, I believe everyone will die someday. My name is Mrs. Jennifer Wagner , a merchant in Dubai, in the U.A.E. I have been diagnosed with Esophageal cancer . It has defiled all forms of medical treatment, and right now I have only about a few months to live, according to medical experts.

I have not particularly lived my life so well, As I never really cared for anyone(not even myself) but my business. Though I am very rich, I was never generous, I was always hostile to people and only focused on my business as that was the only thing I cared for. But now I regret all this as I now know that there is more to life than just wanting to have or make all the money in the world.

I believe when God gives me a second chance to come to this world I would live my life a different way from how I have lived it. Now that God has called me, I have willed and given most of my property and assets to my immediate and extended family members as well as a few close friends.

I want God to be merciful to me and accept my soul so, I have decided to give aims to charity organizations, as I want this to be one of the last good deeds I do on earth. So far, I have distributed money to some charity organizations in the U.A.E, Algeria and Malaysia. Now that my health has deteriorated so badly, I cannot do this myself anymore.

I once asked members of my family to close one of my accounts and distribute the money which I have there to charity organization in Bulgaria and Pakistan, they refused and kept the money to themselves. Hence, I do not trust them anymore, as they seem not to be contended with what I have left for them.

The last of my money which no one knows of is the huge cash deposit of TWELVE MILLION DOLLARS $12,000,000,that I have with a finance/Security Company abroad. I will want you to help me collect this deposit and dispatched it to charity organizations.I have set aside 25% for you and for your time if you want to help me to collect this Funds and also invest this money.

N.B-PLEASE I WILL ADVISED YOU TO CONTACT THE ATTORNEY IN NETHERLANDS IMMEDIATELY, HE DOES EVERYTHING ON MY BEHALF AND HE'S VERY UNDERSTANDING AND I BELIEVE HE WILL LEAD YOU TO YOUR SUCCESS IN JESUS NAME AMEN.

Name: BARRISTER. LEONE EDWARD JONES

Email: leonejones79@aol.com

Remain blessed in the name of the Lord.

Yours in Christ,

Mrs. Jennifer Wagner

[ND-DC-YA] ND-DC-YA Housing Newsletter

Note: listings include the date in which they first appeared on the housing newsletter. Please help us keep these emails up to date by letting me know when your housing needs have been met so I can remove your listing. Thank you!

FOR ANY NEW HOUSING REQUESTS, OR TO CHANGE, ALTER, OR REMOVE A LISTING, PLEASE EMAIL MARIA PAULA ELIZONDO AT MP.ELIZONDO@GMAIL.COM.

LOOKING FOR TEMPORARY HOUSING

***5/4 My name is Nhu Phan, and I graduated from ND in 2012 with a bachelor's in business management consulting and peace studies. I'm currently pursuing my Master's in human rights and humanitarian action at Sciences Po in Paris, France. For the coming Fall semester, we are required to do an internship, so I will be in Washington DC from July until December 2015 to intern with the Alliance for Peacebuilding (10 minute walking distance from the White House). I'm so excited about the work - I will be transposing international peace building practices into American policies, with a particular focus on the Middle East! However, it is unpaid so my budget is quite limited. If possible, I would love to find a place within walking distance to Alliance for Peacebuilding (max: 1 hour). I would appreciate any assistance with my search. Please email me at nhuphan@alumni.nd.edu - thank you!***

*** 4/27 My name is Mark Waguespack. This summer I will be a rising junior at the University of Notre Dame and I have an internship in McLean, Virginia. I am looking for short term summer housing for 11-12 weeks (from May 24 or May 31 to August 15, 2015). I would like to rent a room in someone's house or find roommates to share a rental property, sublet, etc. I will have a car but it would be a plus being close to the Silver Line.  Please contact me at mark2612@comcast.net if you have any suggestions. Thanks.***

*** 4/27 Hi, my name is Dan McDonald (ND '10, dmcdona3@gmail.com) and a  friend of mine is looking for a place to stay over the summer so I offered to include his info on this listserv. Here's his blurb, thanks in advance for any suggestions you might be able to give him: "Hi all! My name is Will McKelvey (wmckelvey13@gmail.com), and I am a rising senior at Ohio State (no, not ND, but a friend of mine is an ND alum and recommended I post on here). I will be interning for a senator this summer, and I am in need of a room within a reasonable distance of Capitol Hill for the beginning of July through August 15. I'm not really in the position to be too picky, just looking for a place to sleep and friendly people. I'm a political science major, honors student, and avid baseball fan. My price ceiling is $1,000/month, but given the short stay, I would also be willing to pay weekly. Any help would be much appreciated!"

*** 4/21 Hello, my name is Pete Gonzales and I am a rising senior at ND. I am looking for a room, a one bedroom, or a two bedroom apartment in DC to rent from June 29-August 15. If a two bedroom is possible, another student Jessee Wurzer would also like to come in!  We're laid back interns looking for a place to sleep at night and enjoy good conversation if that's preferable, if not we're glad to keep to ourselves. Please email at pgonzal7@nd.edu with any opportunities.***

***3/30 Hi all!  My name is Lidya Teka and I am a rising Junior planning on majoring in Accounting and Economics. This summer, I will be interning with PricewaterhouseCoopers in the McLean office and was looking for a sublet for the weeks of June 15th - August 1st. I will have a car so distance is not a huge factor. Please contact me at lteka@nd.edu or 717-341-3007 if you have any suggestions or a room to rent. Thank you so much for all the help! ***

*** 3/15 I am a 1L at Notre Dame Law School looking for temporary summer housing. I am hoping to live on the western side of the city, preferably in Georgetown, Glover Park, or near Tenleytown. I will likely be in DC from the end of May until the beginning of August, and am hoping not to pay over $4,000. Public transportation is a necessity. Thank you! - Conor Maloney (Conor.G.Maloney.63@nd.edu) ***

*** 3/6 My name is Kate Hardiman ('17) and I am a rising ND Junior spending the summer in DC working in a journalism internship for the National Journalism Center. I'm neat and easygoing, interested in politics and passionate about journalism. I love to cook and am an avid runner. I'm hoping to find a sublet with an individual furnished room, or a roommate who wishes to sublet. My price range is $1000/month and my start and end dates are May 18th-August 7th. If you would be willing to let me rent a room in your apartment, please contact me at khardima@nd.edu or 412-576-9666. I will be working for The Hill newspaper at 1625 K Street. Ideally, I would like to find a roommate to live at the GW dorms, the Georgetown Law Dorms, or to sublet an apartment in Foggy Bottom. Thank you so much!***

 LOOKING FOR PERMANENT HOUSING

*** 5/4 Hi! I'm Cailean Geary and I'm a graduating senior. I'll be starting my job in mid-August (New York Ave-Florida Ave-Gallaudet U metro stop on the red line) and I am looking for fun, easygoing female roommates for apartment or townhouse living. My limit would be in the $1000-1200 range. Email me at cgeary2@nd.edu if interested!***

*** 4/21 Hi, my name is Emily Flores ('15) and I will be attending Virginia Tech's campus in Old Town Alexandria beginning in August. I am hoping to find 1 to 3 females who would like to live in Old Town, but I am open to discussion about other locations. I will be living off of a modest stipend so would like to only spend a maximum of $800 for rent and utilities. Anyone interested can contact me at eflores2@alumni.nd.edu or (937) 838-9253.***

*** 4/7 Hi! My name is Michelle Simunich and I will be moving to the DC area at the end of May following my graduation. I am looking for permanent housing anywhere near a metro stop. I have a job set up in Silver Spring Maryland. I am hoping to pay less than $1200 dollars a month. I would prefer to live with multiple female roommates. I am very easy going and fun and enthusiastic and outdoorsy. I love meeting new people and I'm excited to explore a new city with new friends. My email is asimunic@nd.edu and my cell is 208.830.6585.***

***3/30 My name is Marisa Iati ('14), and I'm looking for housing beginning June 1. I'd prefer to live along the red line and to spend no more than $1,100 per month. Please email me at marisa.iati.16@gmail.com. Thanks!***

The house has 5 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, a dining room, sun room, and a garden with veggies and herbs. We have dinner together on weeknights. We are a chill house with a respectful atmosphere and throw great parties every once in a while. We love good food, good beer and wine, great conversations--and we love having all of those on our back porch, sometimes spilling out in the yard and going late in the night around the fire pit. And there may be the occasional free concert - one of our housemates has a piano on which she plays beautiful music for us all to enjoy. We share dinners Monday-Thursday, which is awesome, as you only have to cook one night a week! Email for pictures:). If this atmosphere sounds good to you, please contact me at rachelmcoleman@gmail.com ***
