[dcyp] Last call for volunteers: Halloween Carnival tomorrow!

Happy Friday!

Are you free tomorrow morning to volunteer at the Halloween Carnival? If so, please see the invitation below and RSVP!

Each year, the DC Young Professionals and NW Washington Kiwanis clubs co-host this special Halloween event for children in need. This year's carnival is proving to be our biggest one yet - seriously, wait till you see the pumpkins! :) Volunteers are needed to assist the kids with activities, including a pumpkin patch, donkey rides, arts and crafts, dirt cups, and even a photo booth! **COSTUMES ENCOURAGED!**  

Afterwards, join us at the volunteers-only after-party, complete with a costume contest and awesome prizes!

You are invited to the following event: Halloween Carnival with the Easter Seals Event to be held at the following time, date, and location: Saturday, October 18, 2014 from 9:30 AM to 1:45 PM (EDT) Easter Seals 1420 Spring St Silver Spring, MD 20910 View Map Attend Event Share:   Our Annual Halloween Carnival will serve Children of the Easter Seals Respite program. Many of these children are disabled or are children of Wounded Warriors. We need a lot of volunteers to help make this event a success! Volunteers will run activities, hand out prizes, assist with arts and crafts, or work directly with the children.  NEW in 2014: The Halloween Carnival is an annual event for DCYP, and this year we are excited to be working with the Easter Seals for the first time.  We are also looking forward to having new activity stations including donkey rides, a pumpkin field, and a photo booth! Costumes are highly encouraged! After the carnival, we will go out in Silver Spring for happy hour. Awards will be given for the best costumes! More details to come soon. Other Logistics: This event is Metro accessible. It's a short walk from the Silver Spring Metro Stop (Red Line). There's also free parking available. Please RSVP through the event page.
