We'd also like to thank Dustin, DCYP's Special Events Director, for all of the pre-planning work he did to make the event such a success. I know all of the families had a terrific time.  This Thursday join us for Fright Night at the Museum - DC's premiere haunted house located inside the already spooky Crime Museum. Ashley Upcoming Events Fright Night at the Museum *NEW* Where: The Crime Museum (575 7th St NW DC) When: Thursday, October 23, 7:00 - 9:00pm Metro: Gallery Place / Chinatown (Red / Green / Yellow) To continue the Halloween spirit after our Halloween Carnival this weekend, we're inviting everyone to join us at Fright Night at the Museum - DC's premiere haunted house located inside the already spooky Crime Museum. Check out the chilling details: "The Crime Museum's Haunted House is nothing like you have ever experienced. Imagine being alone, standing next to an electric chair that took the lives of hundreds of inmates, after hours, in the dark. You may think you can handle it, but at every turn you are faced with the dreadful descision…do I keep going? Your heart rate increases, you can't take the intense pressure. Fright at the Museum will leave you standing in your tracks unable to move forward." Veterans Day Concert (Eminem, Rihanna, Springsteen...) *NEW* Where: National Mall between Capitol and Monument (Exact Meeting Location TBD) When: Tuesday, November 11, 6-11pm Metro:  Smithsonian (Blue/Orange) Join DCYP Kiwanis at a star-studded Veterans Day concert on the National Mall. Eminem, Rihanna, Bruce Springsteen, Zac Brown Band, Metallica, Carrie Underwood, etc. will headline, with appearances by Meryl Streep, Tom Hanks, and Steven Spielberg. It's sure to be crowded and crazy but we think it'll be well worth it! Details about how to attend the event-- which will be held on the National Mall between the Washington Monument and the Capitol-- are forthcoming. Food & Friends Where: Food & Friends (219 Riggs Road DC 2000) When: Saturday, November 15, (Morning- Exact Time TBD) *TIME WILL BE UPDATED*  Metro: Fort Totten (Green / Yellow / Red) Food & Friends has been providing a range of services to the Greater DC area for more than 20 years, from preparing nutritious meals and groceries to counseling for people living with cancer and life-challenging illnesses. As we get into the holidays let us not forget those who are less fortunate than us. More information can be found here. We will start with a brief orientation followed by grocery prep/packing and possibly food deliveries.
