Hi all,
To make it easier to sign up for roles at future meetings, I have created a very simple Google doc. Please feel free to edit it directly if you'd like to do a speech or take on a leadership role, both of which I strongly encourage you to do. We really want you to make progress toward your goals and for the club to make progress toward our collective goals. If you are relatively new to the club and want to take on a role but have questions, feel free to reach out and we will be happy to talk you through it!
On that note, please remember to bring your Competent Communicator and Competent Leader manuals to every meeting and ask me or any of the club officers to sign your manuals if you speak or serve in any leadership role at any meeting.
Let me know if you have any questions or can't access the Google doc, and we'll see you on October 1!

TFC Toastmasters:--For those of you who participated in yesterday's contest, either as a speaker or just attending the contest, my sincere congratulations and thanks to everyone for a great event! Congratulations to Yelena for winning the Tall-Tales Contest! We enjoyed hearing all the speeches last night, and it's always good practice to speak in a competitive setting. We will be back to our normally scheduled meetings on Wednesday, October 1st, and Wednesday, October 15th, and all of the officers of the club would like to extend a warm welcome to both our club members and to any guests. In fact, if you are a current club member, please try your best to bring a guest to one of the October meetings, so that they can see what a powerful and positive impact Toastmasters has on developing future leaders! Directions for the club meeting location are below. We definitely need volunteers interested in giving a speech and/or participating in Table Topics for either October 1st or the 15th. We would also ask you to volunteer for various roles, like Time Keeper and Grammarian, for either date. If you are interested in preparing a speech and/or would like to take-on a role during the meeting, please feel free to reach-out to Kate Sullivan at katsully@gmail.com.Finally, if you have not yet paid club dues, please be sure to contact Colin Timbers at cmtimber@gmail.com, so we can arrange for you to keep current and remain an "active" member in the club.Feel free to email me with any questions. Looking forward to seeing you on Wednesday, October 1st!Kind regards,Omer IpekciPresident, TFC Toastmastershttp://talkforchange.wordpress.com

Entering the Building/Office
Although our street address is 1555 Connecticut Avenue, the building is located between Connecticut and Q Streets, and the entrance is actually on Q Street next to Raku (across from the Firehook Bakery).
The name of our building is The Anchorage, and there are large gold anchors on the door handles.
When facing the front door, the tenant listing and call-up box is on the left. Press the "call" button then "03" on the number keypad.
The Viva Center is located on the 3rd floor. Turn right off the elevator to enter the Sandstone Room.
