The Anthropology Department of Sewanee: The University of the South invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor to begin August 2014. We seek candidates who will be able to offer two upper level electives along with required courses in Introductory Cultural Anthropology and Social Theory. Compensation is very competitive.

Sewanee is a nationally ranked liberal arts college located on a beautiful 13,000-acre campus within driving distance of Nashville and Chattanooga. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in hand by the time of appointment.
