Upcoming Events Rock Creek Extreme Park Clean-Up *NEW LOCATION*
Where: Perice Mill (Corner of Beach Drive and Tilden Street, Washington, DC)
When: Saturday, April 5, 8:30am - 12:00pm
Metro: Van Ness (Red)
Join us for the Rock Creek Park Extreme Clean-Up. The even starts at 9AM, so we will plan to meet at Van Ness metro at 8:30AM. For the clean-up, we will be removing invasive species including Bush Honeysuckle and English ivy from Rock Creek Park.
Please dress for the weather by wearing long pants and a long sleeve shirt. Dressing in layers is the best option. Wear sturdy boots or sneakers, no sandals.
It is suggested you bring water. Bags and gloves will be provided. Feel to bring your own gloves if you have them. To sign up, email dcyp.service@gmail.com. We are seeking your input and ideas for upcoming events, especially for the upcoming STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) Education Carnival, and will break into smaller focus groups. When: Sunday, April 27, 6:00am - 12:00pm
Metro: Metro Center (Red / Blue / Orange)
The second annual Nike Women's Half Marathon DC will take place on Sunday, April 27, 2014. DCYP will be volunteering at the food station on the race day for the runners.
