Interested in getting more involved in DCYP? Come to our Special Events Committee Meeting next Monday and learn about how you can get involved in planning two of our biggest events of the year- the Spring Carnival and the Charter Event.

Happy Hour / Meet & Greet
Where: Capitol City Brewing (1100 New York Avenue Northwest )
When: Wednesday, April 10, 6 - 8 pm
Metro: Metro Center (Red/Blue/Orange)
Come meet and hang out with fellow young professionals at happy hour / meet and greet at Capitol City Brewing Co in Metro Center area. Entrance is at the corner of 11 Street NW, just north of H Street NW. Drop in anytime between 6 and 8pm. You can also pick up information on the upcoming service projects and events. See you all soon! Just ask the host for Kiwanis or look for the balloon.
Special Events Committee Meeting
Where: ROTI (1629 K Street )
When: Monday, April 15, 6:30-7:30pm
Metro: Farragut North / West (Red/Blue/Orange)
Interested in helping plan the Spring Carnival? Have ideas on how we can have the best Charter Event ever? Come to the Special Events Committee Meeting! DCYP Kiwanis needs your help planning the upcoming special events! Stop by the committee meeting on Monday 4/15 from 6:30-7:30PM. If you want to help plan a part of the spring carnival but can’t come to the meeting, or if you have any questions, email Dustin at dcyp.events@gmail.com .
Save Rock Creek Park Trees
Where: Rock Creek Park and Potomac Parkway
When: Saturday, April 20, 10am-12pm
Metro: TBD
DCYP Kiwanis will team up with Rock Creek Conservancy volunteers and the National Park Service to save park trees from the chokehold of the invasive vine, English ivy. Volunteers will cut ivy from tree trunks, while at the same time exploring Rock Creek Park, one of the District's most beautiful natural treasures. To volunteer, email dcyp.service@gmail.com.
National's Baseball Game
Where: Nationals Park (1500 South Capitol St., SE)
When: Saturday, April 27, 12:30-4pm
Metro: Navy Yard (Green)
Come out to the ballpark and enjoy the game and hang out with others. We will meet outside of the park at 12:30 pm and buy tickets together. The game starts at 1:05 pm vs the Reds. To sign up and for more information contact our Social Directors at dcyp.social@gmail.com.
