Good Morning Ward 6!
We are just over a day away from Mayor Gray’s Budget Town Hall Meeting and I am trying to figure out how I will arrive. Should I:
1. Walk
2. Ride my personal bike
3. Ride Bikeshare to 3rd and H, NE
4. Ride Metro to Union Station and walk 2 blocks
5. Drive (I don’t own a car, but there is parking attached to the school via 2nd St.)
6. Vow to take the Streetcar to next year’s meeting!
With Mayor Gray’s proposed budget, many of these options will be greatly improved. There is $1M proposed for 10 new bikeshare stations and 100 new bikes, $10.7M for expanded bike lanes and trails, and $400M for Streetcar Capital investment along with $6.2M as an operating subsidy.
