Looking for Short-Term Opportunity
· (URGENT) (NEW) Rachael is going to be interning in the area this summer and needs a place to live. I am trying to keep it about $700 at most, which I know is ambitious. I will be working in the Chantilly area, so I'm looking for housing there and the nearby cities. I start working on the 20th of May, so I will probably be there around the 18th or 19th, and I will be working until late August. I don't have a definite end date, but it will likely be around the 25-27th of August. I would be open to living with a family if possible, or other students, and I will have a car. · My name is John Vernon and I am an undergraduate student at the University of Notre Dame (Class of 2014). This summer I will be working at a 10 week summer internship in Washington, D.C. I am interesting in finding a suitable and affordable living situation close to Capital Hill or Foggy Bottom with accessibility to the Metro.The Career Center and some of my fellow students suggested contacting the ND Alumni Club to see if anyone would be willing to rent out a room or a basement apartment in their home. I will be there during the weekdays, but go home to Annapolis to see my parents on weekends (Fridays - Sunday night/Monday morning). · We are three female professionals with one bedroom available in a four-bedroom town house/apartment in Dupont Circle. This large 2nd story unfurnished room has two built-in closets, a private bath, and plenty of sunlight! Shared spaces include: furnished patio, small living room, and recently renovated kitchen. The room is available starting February 1st and we'd like our new roommate to commit through June 1 (when the lease ends), with possibility for extension. Rent is $1,350 per month + utilities (~$100-$150 per person per month) + $1,350 (one month's rent) security deposit. The apartment is a five minute walk to Dupont Circle, 10 minutes to Adams Morgan and U Street, and about 15 minutes to Farragut Square. · Four women (including an ND alum) are looking for one or two housemates in Arlington. Our large town home is located a short walk from the Courthouse and Clarendon metros, Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, restaurants, shopping in downtown Clarendon and is a short drive to St. Agnes. The townhouse is only a few years old and is gorgeous! There are four floors three and a half bathrooms, a large kitchen with granite counter tops, washer and dryer, pool and concierge that receives packages and provides 24-hour maintenance. The open room is the master suite and is the entire second floor. It has a large walk-in closet and a very spacious bathroom (two sinks, separate washroom, granite countertops, large Jacuzzi tub and separate walk-in shower). We like to entertain and are very easy going. The rent for the master suite is $1,850.00 ($925/person if shared) a month plus approximately $80/person/month for cleaning and utilities (we all pitch in on a cleaning service), and $85-$100 for underground parking (parking is optional but street parking is limited and first come first served).
