Have a great weekend,

The Congress Heights Community Association is partnering with National Capitol Parks-East in an epic effort to restore the natural splendor of Shepherd Parkway, one of DC's most neglected wooded areas. Shepherd Parkway is a 205-acre wooded area managed by the National Park Service. The park is home to two bald eagles nests and the remains of two Civil War forts, Fort Carroll and Ft. Greble. Many of the oak, poplar, hickory and beech trees in the park are over 100 years old.

Join us for this great event as we help restore Shepherd Parkway by removing debris, trash, invasive plants and debris. Sign up by emailing dcyp.service@gmail.com.
