Jazz and Picnic in the Sculpture Garden is this Friday!  Join us for great music and a great time.  Also, be sure to sign-up for the gleaning service project next Saturday, July 21.  We will be gleaning surplus produce and providing it to AFAC.  This is a fun and very worthwhile event.

The Chrysalis Vineyard social is August 4, and that date is quickly approaching.  Email Dustin at dcyp.social@gmail.com before Monday, July 30, if you plan to attend so we can secure rides for anyone that needs one.

Have a great week!

Ashley

Come join us for Jazz in the Sculpture Garden, a DC Friday night favorite during the beautiful summer weather!  Bring a blanket and some food to share for a picnic as we listen to live jazz music, hang out, and play games. For this unique project, we'll head to a farm near College Park, MD where we'll glean surplus produce that would otherwise be left to waste in the fields. This will provide literally tons of free, fresh and nutritious food to the Arlington Food Assistance Center (AFAC) which serves those in need in our local area. Carpools will be arranged. To sign up, email dcyp.service@gmail.com and please indicate the metro station that is closest to you.

Come meet and hang out with fellow young professionals at this upcoming happy hour / meet and greet. Drop in any time you want between 6pm and 8pm. You can also pick up information on the upcoming service projects and events.
Iron Horse has great happy hour specials until 8PM. When you get to Iron Horse, ask the host for Kiwanis or just look for the red balloon!

Enjoy a day wine tasting and picnicking at this beautiful Virginia vineyard, located about an hour away from DC! We will carpool to the vineyard where a Chrysalis wine expert will lead our tasting and teach us all about the wine. After that, our group will gather on the patio that overlooks the scenic grounds for a BBQ and socializing. Additional wine by the glass or bottle will also be available for purchase. The cost of the BBQ is $12; free for designated drivers. The wine tasting options range from $5-$10 at the vineyard. To sign-up, email Dustin at dcyp.social@gmail.com and also indicate whether you are interested in driving.
