We are recruiting for at Public Health Analyst- (GS 9 – 12/ TERM) in the Department of Health and Human Services, Office of the Secretary, Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC), in Office of Planning, Evaluation, and Analysis (OPEA). OPEA conducts advanced analysis of health information technology strategies; applies research methodologies to perform evaluation studies of federal investments in health information technology; and applies advanced mathematical or quantitative modeling to the U.S. health care system for simulating the microeconomic and macroeconomic effects of investing in health information technology. Position Duties:
· Analyze and evaluate work processes and policies, operations and procedures, taking into consideration legislative, programmatic, and management issues and problems
- Plan and conduct studies of health information technology programs, policies, or strategies
- Perform work on complex health information technology projects and provide deliverables in a timely manner
- Write organization level briefings and reports that deal with complex or sensitive organization programs and operations
- Research and prepare presentations, background papers, and organization policies related to health information technology for internal dissemination
- Conduct data analysis using quantitative methods, surveys, interviews and other research techniques.
- Identify issues, problems, and challenges facing health information technology and formulate and evaluate possible courses of action for resolving them
