DCYP is volunteering in the Festival's Street Pub on behalf of the Arlington Food Assistance Center (AFAC), which gets a $50 donation for every volunteer. Volunteers will receive a t-shirt, refreshments and snacks during our shift, and taste tickets to use at the festival. Learn about the upcoming service projects and events as well as our recent activities. Just look for the balloon when you arrive! See you there!   Yoga on the Mall (NEW!) Where: Sylvan Theater Stage, Washington Memorial Driveway Southwest When: Sunday, May 22 (9:45am - 11:30am)  Metro: Smithsonian Hey there yogis! Due to popular demand, we're heading back to the National Mall for DC Yoga Week's annual Yoga on the Mall event. We'll breathe deeply, do a few downward dogs and warrior ones and enjoy the beautiful scenery of our nation's capital, and then grab brunch afterwards. We'll meet at the Smithsonian metro station exit at 12th & Independence and head over to the venue together. When: Saturday, June 4, 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM Where: Hensley Park, 4200 Eisenhower Ave., Alexandria, VA 22303 Croquet Day is a tournament-style competition for individuals and families that benefits SCAN, an organization that provides advocacy and support for children and families in Northern Virginia. This event raises vital funds for SCAN's child abuse and neglect prevention programs. The tournament should attract roughly 200 participants and spectators and volunteers are needed to help with the food tents, registration, score keeping, activity tent, photography, etc. Hensley Park is a short drive from the Van Dorn Metro Station - please note in your RSVP if you need transportation from the metro station to the park. To sign up, email dcyp.service@gmail.com or RSVP on Meetup.
