LOOKING FOR TEMPORARY HOUSING

*** 6/11 I am looking for a furnished room for three months, starting from June 20th. My priority is location since I plan to go downtown quite often, so I hope to live close to a metro station. I expect to find a place for 700-750 USD/month utilities included. About myself, I recently graduated from the masters in Peace Studies and I am originally from Colombia. I am going to DC to look for employment opportunities. Thanks! Claudia Navas (cnavas@alumni.nd.edu)***

6/4 Hello Notre Dame Club of D.C., my name is Michael Kunath, I'm a rising senior Finance major at Notre Dame (Class of 2016) from Raleigh, NC. I'm reaching out to your club because I received an internship offer at Tax Analysts in Falls Church, VA, which would start next week on June 8th. I need to find a room to rent in the $500-$600/month range from June 7th – Aug 15th in Falls Church, preferably within 1-2 miles of downtown Falls Church. I don't know anyone in Falls Church so I'd prefer to connect with a Domer or friend of a Domer if possible. I'm just looking for a basic place with bath and kitchen access so I can take the internship. I'm quiet, non-smoker, and respectful of others' belongings. I know that this is very last minute, but anything that you can think of would be very appreciated. Thanks for your help, Mike Kunath (mkunath@nd.edu) ***

***5/4 My name is Nhu Phan, and I graduated from ND in 2012 with a bachelor's in business management consulting and peace studies. I'm currently pursuing my Master's in human rights and humanitarian action at Sciences Po in Paris, France. For the coming Fall semester, we are required to do an internship, so I will be in Washington DC from July until December 2015 to intern with the Alliance for Peacebuilding (10 minute walking distance from the White House). I'm so excited about the work - I will be transposing international peace building practices into American policies, with a particular focus on the Middle East! However, it is unpaid so my budget is quite limited. If possible, I would love to find a place within walking distance to Alliance for Peacebuilding (max: 1 hour). I would appreciate any assistance with my search. Please email me at nhuphan@alumni.nd.edu - thank you!***

 LOOKING FOR PERMANENT HOUSING

*** 7/13 Hello everyone! I am relocating to the DC area at the end of the summer.  My housing plans just recently fell through, so I am trying to find a new plan.  I am looking for something to rent for $800/ month or less that isn't too far from where I will be working.  I will be teaching in McLean, so I have been looking at Falls Church and Arlington.  I don't have any pets and am open to living with several female housemates.  If you have any connections to housemates or places I could live, please e-mail me.  Thank you so much! In His name, Deborah Irwin deborahirwin99@gmail.com class of 1999***

*** 6/24 My name is Joey Kuhn; I graduated from the Program of Liberal Studies at ND in 2011. I'm going into a master's program in creative writing at George Mason this fall, and I'm looking for new housing. My hope is to keep rent around $800-900 max. I'd like to stay within walking distance of a Metro line--preferably the Orange line in Arlington / Fairfax / Vienna, or Blue/Yellow lines in Alexandria, though I'd consider other areas if the price is right. I'm looking to move in mid- to late July (no later than Aug. 1). I'm really neat (seriously); I love reading, writing, music; I usually go out on weekends, but don't have a lot of crazy parties or anything. Shoot me an email at jmkuhn18@gmail.com if you have a place or are interested in looking for one together. Thanks!***
