[tfctoastmasters:592] Talk for Change Meeting on 3/18

Hi TFC Members and Friends:

We had a great meeting on March 4, and started planning our agenda for March 18! There are still lots of roles available for the March 18 meeting.  Please sign up on the google document: Google doc (Note that I've added a row to indicate if you can't make the meeting.  This will help the Toastmaster of the Evening and VPE plan who can step in to other roles if necessary.)

One thing we didn't discuss during the club business section of the last meeting is that the Area 31 Contest will be held on Monday, March 20, 7-9:30pm.  We may not have time to put together a full-blown club level contest on March 18 to determine who will represent the club at the Area's International and Evaluation Contests to be held at 1210 R Street NW in DC. If the club agrees, we can simply designate someone at the March 18 meeting to represent us at each of the contests.  Therefore, please indicate on the google document if you're available and interested in participating at the Area Contest.  (You must be an active member "in good standing" to participate in either contest, and there is a prerequisite for the International Speech contest that you must have completed at least 6 manual speeches.)

Also, take a look at TFC's current status toward our Distinguished Club Program goals:  http://www.district36dcp.org/dcp2015/clubs/1059567.HTM  We're really doing well, but we need to have at least 20 active members by the end of June.  As of March, we have 17 members, but not everyone has paid-up yet for the next 6 months.  Please be sure to see Colin or Andrey about your dues at the next meeting.  once we have our members at 20 or more, we will need only one more person to complete a CC or CL manual to reach President's Distinguished!
