Ashley Upcoming Events Age in Place Home Maintenance Project Where: Seabury at Home First (2501 18th St., NE) When: Saturday, March 1, 8:45AM - 12:00PM Metro: Rhode Island (Red) Home First is an organization that serves low income senior citizens by helping with home maintenance in an effort to allow them to continue living independently. DCYP will spend a morning at the home of one of these seniors with a project called Age in Place (AIP) to help with services such as yardwork, house cleaning and painting. By providing a range of services – free to all persons 60 years and older - the AIP program can make the difference in whether seniors can stay in their homes or must find alternative living arrangements. In providing these services, AIP seeks to provide both the volunteer team and the senior with a safe, positive, fun, and meaningful experience. Volunteers are encouraged to talk with the senior citizens and to get to know them a bit while we serve. To sign up and receive more details on this project, contact dcyp.service@gmail.com.
