The DCYP Kiwanis Spring Carnival is tomorrow, Saturday May 11th. Volunteers are still needed and there is still time to sign up! Come out to help kids play games, paint, plant flowers, or do cool science projects! Bring friends, family, or co-workers to help as well! We need lots of volunteers to help make the carnival a success. Just email dcyp.events@gmail.com to RSVP for the event!
The event is metro accessible but there is lots of track work going on this weekend so plan for extra travel time. For details on Metro delays, click here. Event details are below along with walking directions from the Metro. If you would like ride from the Metro Station, please call Dustin when you get there (240-780-2212). In addition, there is plenty of parking at the Boys & Girls Club if you wish to drive.
A light lunch will be provided to volunteers during the carnival and after the event we will head to a restaurant/bar to celebrate and socialize!

Spring Carnival at the Boys & Girls Club
Where: Boys & Girls Club of Greater Washington (1901 Mississippi Ave, SE)
When: Saturday, May 11, 10:30am - 2pm
Parking: Plenty of parking is available at the Boys & Girls Club.
Metro: Southern Ave. metro stop (green line).
Walking Directions from Metro: At Southern Avenue metro (on the green line) there is only one exit to the street level. Once past the fare gates, exit the station to the right. Walk along until you are able to get to the actual street, Southern Ave. Take a right and head Northwest along Southern Ave- about 5 or 6 minutes. The intersection with Mississippi Ave is pretty large, take a left. The Boys And Girls Club will be the second building on the left -about 3 minutes.
