| Come to Penn Social Wednesday, May 8 for our next happy hour! Meet and hang out with other young professionals and learn about upcoming events, including next Saturday's Spring Carnival.
There is still time to volunteer for our Third Annual Spring Carnival, taking place May 11 at the Boys & Girls Club. Join us as we provide a fun, activity filled afternoon for over 120 kids at the club. The carnival will run from 11am-1pm, but we are looking for volunteers to arrive around 10:30am and stay until around 2pm. Email dcyp.events@gmail.com to sign-up or RSVP via Facebook or Meetup!

Happy Hour / Meet & Greet
Where: Penn Social (801 E St NW)
When: Wednesday, May 8, 6-8pm
Metro: Chinatown (Green / Yellow / Red)
Join us for a happy hour at Penn Social, near the Chinatown Metro. Drop in anytime between 6 and 8pm to meet fellow young professionals and enjoy happy hour specials on drinks and food! Look for the red balloon!
Spring Carnival at the Boys & Girls Club
Where: Boys & Girls Club of Greater Washington (1901 Mississippi Ave, SE)
When: Saturday, May 11, 10:30am - 2pm

Volunteer at the 3rd Annual Kiwanis Spring Carnival! This annual community event, organized by the DC Young Professionals Kiwanis Club, serves more than 100 children in Anacostia through a variety of fun, educational games and activity stations. Volunteers are needed to play with the children, assist with games and activities, and help set up and break down the event at the Boys & Girls Club. This year's event will include a moonbounce, crafts, relay races, prizes, nutrition education, food, and more!
Metro access: Short walk from the Southern Ave. metro stop (green line). Parking is also available at the Boys & Girls Club. Outdoor Movie Social
Where: Gateway Park in Rosslyn (1300 Lee Highway Arlington, VA - near Key Bridge)
When: Friday, May 17 7 - 9pm
Metro: Rosslyn (Orange / Blue)
This year’s Rosslyn Outdoor Film Festival relives the high school years this spring and summer. Join us to kick off the festival by viewing the classic Breakfast Club. We’ll meet up at 7pm at the beautiful Gateway Park. Feel free to bring blankets and low outdoor chairs. The screening is just two blocks from the Rosslyn metro and parking is available on the street and at the Atlantic Parking Garage for $3 after 6pm. Kiwanians! Mother's Day is around the corner! What are you getting for you own mother? What about the mothers across the globe who may never get to receive a gift from their child when they get older?
As a Kiwanian, it's your responsibility to serve the children of the world.
Aside from service projects, one of the best ways is to donate to a Kiwanis International team project that saves the lives of many babies and the pain of many mothers.
