We still need 20 more volunteers to sign up for our Fall Festival, taking place this Saturday at the Easter Seals! Grab your friends and sign up on our event brite page to make a difference in the lives of the children and families at the Easter Seals. Afterwards, we'll go out for happy hour in Silver Spring. Also check out our upcoming Happy Hour and project with Gifts for the Homeless. See you this Saturday!  Amanda Upcoming Events​ DCYP's Fall Festival with the Easter Seals  Where: Easter Seals, 1420 Spring Street, Silver Spring, MD When: Saturday, November 14 (9:30am - 2:00pm) Metro: Silver Spring (RED) Calling volunteers! DCYP Kiwanis is throwing a Fall Festival for the children and families of the Easter Seals this Saturday. We're planning arts and crafts, games, lunch, a photo booth, petting zoo, face painting, and much more! The families we'll serve include Wounded Warriors and children with disabilities. We still need lots of volunteers to sign up! RSVP on our Eventbrite Page.  Happy Hour Meet & Greet at Bar Deco (NEW!) Where: Bar Deco, 717 6th Street NW When: Wednesday, November 18 (6-8:00pm) Metro: Gallery Place-Chinatown (RED, GREEN, YELLOW) Join us at Bar Deco for a mid-November happy hour! Come learn more about our upcoming DCYP events and discover Bar Deco (a new bar in Chinatown)! To find us look for the red balloon. RSVP on Meetup. Gifts for the Homeless (NEW!) Where: Portals II Warehouse, 1201 Maryland Ave SW When: Saturday, December 5 (Morning - exact time TBA) Metro: L'Enfant Plaza The annual Gifts for the Homeless clothing drive provides much-needed clothing for men, women, and children at over 70 DC-area shelters. Gathering at a large warehouse for a fun clothing-sorting party, DCYP will join hundreds of other volunteers to assist in sorting and bagging clothing donations. The event is always a favorite project of DCYP members! If you have clothing you would like to donate, feel free to bring it to the project! We will finalize the date and time once GFTH opens the volunteer sign-up for 2015. To sign up, contact dcyp.service@gmail.com.
