DC CATHOLIC DAY OF SERVICE (2/21)
Join the DCCatholic in the Archdiocese of Washington for their Annual Give 1 Day of Service on Feb. 21st. This Lent all young adults ages 21-35 are encouraged to Give-1 day of service to encounter those in need. Parish and alumni YA groups are hosting service sites across the DC area in the morning and will meet up at Buffalo Billiards Restaurant and Bar (1330 19th St NW) around 12:30 p.m. for lunch, fellowship, and a reflection by Ryan Hehman of A Simple House at 1pm (must be 21+ to enter). ANNUAL WINTERFEST FLIP CUP TOURNAMENT (2/28) - Save the date!
Please mark your calendars for our annual Winterfest flip cup tournament scheduled for Saturday, February 28 from 8-11 p.m. More details will be coming soon including location and team registration information.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY AT THE FATHER McKENNA CENTER (3/14)
Join fellow Notre Dame Alumni for a service opportunity in downtown Washington DC! Volunteers will be working at the Father McKenna Center (http://www.fathermckennacenter.org/), a social service agency that principally provides a variety of services to homeless men including meals, clothing, access to phone and mail and case management. Volunteers will assist in providing enough "humanpower" to open the Center on Saturday to provide meals and other services to the men in the community. Should be a great day!
We are breaking the day into two three-hour shifts. 7:30 am-10:30 am and 10:30 am-1:30 pm.
Date: Saturday, March 14th
Time: 7:30 am-10:30 am OR 10:30 am-1:30 pm
Location: Father McKenna Center (9 minute walk from Union Station Metro!)
