See you at Meridian Pint this Thursday for our February happy hour!

Then, don't forget to RSVP for Saturday morning's service project to volunteer with CHEARS (Chesapeake Education, Arts and Research Society) for Eco Stewards Discovery Day. We will be assigned a number of tasks that could include labeling plants, removing invasive species and building terrariums with their young Eco Stewards (5-9 yr olds). Be sure to email dcyp.service@gmail.com so you can get on the list to receive more details.

We will help with the last phase of their Food Forest design at the Springhill Recreation Center in Greenbelt, MD. We'll be labeling plants, removing invasive species and working with their young Eco Stewards (5-9 yr olds) with terrarium building. This is a great way to start the day with (or to maybe meet) that special someone! We will try to organize a brunch afterwards. To sign up, contact the Service Team at dcyp.service@gmail.com.

Foster Dog Adoption Event

When: Saturday, February 21, (11:45am - 3:00pm)

Calling all dog lovers! Can't have a dog of your own just yet? Well come help us volunteer with Mutt Love Rescue, a no kill shelter for dogs in the DC region. They host weekly adoption events at pet stores and need volunteers to be in charge of a dog for the afternoon, keeping it on leash and speaking with potential adopters about your dog. We'll arrive at 11:45 to get matched up with our dogs and wrap just after 3 pm. Because they bring as many dogs as possible and look to match one dog with one handler please plan to stay for the full event and if you need to cancel please let us know a few days in advance. We'll coordinate carpools for those using metro from the Viena metro station near the pet store. To sign up or ask any questions please email the Service Directors dcyp.service@gmail.com.
