Ashley Upcoming Events Water Lily & Lotus Cultural Festival  Where: Friends of Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens (1550 Anacostia Ave. NE) When: Saturday July 19, 3:00 - 5:00pm Metro: Deanwood (Orange) DCYP is very excited to be back working with the Friends of Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens, this time for the annual Water Lily & Lotus Cultural Festival. Part of the National Park Service, Kenilworth Park & Aquatic Gardens preserves a plethora of rare water lilies and lotuses in the cultivated ponds near the river. All are welcome to enjoy this wonderful day-long event filled with blooms, music, crafts, food trucks, and more! For the Aquatic Gardens, exit the Deanwood Stop on the Orange Line, lower Polk Street Exit. Contact dcyp.service@gmail.com with questions and to RSVP. Happy Hour / Meet & Greet *NEW* Where: Mackey's (1823 L Street NW DC) When: Wednesday, August 6, 6-8pm Metro: Farragut (Red / Blue / Orange) Join us for our August Happy Hour at Mackeys. Enjoy great happy hour specials while meeting other young professionals. You can also pick up information about upcoming service projects and events. Just look for the red balloon most likely in the back at the bar area.  Save the Date: DC Public Schools Beautification Day will be Saturday, August 23. More details to come! Building Museum Maze & BBQ *NEW* Where: National Building Museum (401 F Street NW DC)  When: Thursday, August 28, 6-8pm Metro: Judiciary Square (Red) & Gallery Place (Green / Yellow / Red)  Soaring approximately 18 feet high and measuring 60 feet by 60 feet, the Building Museum's Maze will boast a series of twists and turns for us to weave through and explore. More information here. And to make it even better, Hill Country BBQ is serving up Texas style BBQ in the Museum's Backyard.
