Happy Friday on this chilly fall morning! We have a few new events coming up. The #1 Notre Dame Men's Soccer team is in the ACC Semifinals tonight in Germantown, MD. Also, check out information on the ND Alumni Marching Band in DC. As a reminder, since there is no Notre Dame Football game this weekend, the gamewatches will resume on Saturday, 11/23.

ND MEN'S SOCCER IN ACC SEMIFINALS (TONIGHT - 11/15)


The #1 Notre Dame Men's Soccer team faces the #10 Virginia Men's Soccer team in the ACC Semifinals tonight. The game is at 5:30 pm at the Maryland SoccerPlex in Germantown, MD. For more details and to purchase tickets visit: https://tickets.mdsoccerplex.org/



ND-DC ALUMNI MARCHING BAND PRACTICE (11/16)

Attention band alumni! As you may know, there is an active ND Alumni Marching Band in the DC area. They typically play as a pep band when ND Football plays at Navy on the East coast, at a few St. Patrick's Day Parades annually, and other events as well. There is an upcoming practice this weekend in Arlington. For any questions or to be added to the email list for this group, please contact:


On Saturday November 16, the percussion section will have a practice at St. Agnes in Arlington at 10:00 AM. All band members and others who wish to attend are invited. As usual we will have 2 practices there on Saturday February 15 and 22 for the Alexandria St. Patrick's Day parade on Saturday March 1, and Manassas parade which will probably be on Saturday March 8.


Immediately following practice, there will be a 1-hour business meeting to discuss further organization of our band, including but not limited to nominations and elections, transitions and need for volunteers and back-up for future events. Please advise us of any items you wish to be discussed and put on our agenda. This meeting is optional, but all are welcome to attend.



THEOLOGY ON TAP SERIES (11/19)

The Theology on Tap Series will continue on Tuesday, November 19 at 6 PM at Buffalo Billiards in Washington, D.C. People of all stages of their faith journey are welcome to be a part of a supportive community, have a beer and hear some good stories of faith and inspiration.

FALL WINE NETWORKING EVENT - LAST WEEK (11/20)


This is the last week for the Fall Wine Networking series at the Ronald Reagan Building. Come out on Wednesday, November 20th from 5-8pm for wine/spirits and live music. The event offers a great atmosphere for networking with different people or just relaxing after a day of work with coworkers and friends. We are offering a promo code (ALUMNI) for a discount on food/beverage for ND-DC club members and friends.

ND-WIN HAPPY HOUR (11/21)


Come join your fellow Notre Dame alumni for some pre-holiday merrymaking, professional networking, and an update on upcoming ND-WIN events. We'll be at The Exchange (1719 G St NW  Washington, DC 20006) on Thursday, November 21, enjoying exclusive happy hour drink and food specials from 6-8 pm. In an effort to expand our Notre Dame network, we encourage you to bring other ND alumni, as well as your business cards!

GAMEWATCHES (11/23)

As a result of our bye week, Notre Dame football gamewatches will resume on Saturday, November 23 against Brigham Young University (game starts at 3:30 pm Eastern Time). As a reminder, there are two convenient locations for gamewatches and both offer great specials:

  • The Exchange is located at 1719 G Street NW, close to the Orange, Blue, and Red lines.

  • Miller's Rockville Ale House is spacious new restaurant and sports bar at 1471 Rockville Pike, Rockville, MD. 20852. It is conveniently located near I-270 and Twinbrook station on the Red line.



CHRIST IN THE CITY (12/12)

Join the Archdiocese at Washington on the 2nd Thursday of each month for Christ in the City at Immaculate Conception Church!


Stop by for a short visit or join us for the evening. The night begins with a rosary at 6:30pm and a holy hour with praise and worship Adoration, confession and silent meditation from 7:00-8:00pm. Fellowship with food and drinks to follow.


Immaculate Conception is located at the corner of 8th & N Streets, NW - two blocks north of the metro stop at Mt. Vernon Square green and yellow line.


ND-DC MEMBERSHIP DRIVE

We are running our annual Membership Drive!  If you became a member last year and would like to continue, then please renew it as your membership expired on July 1. If you have not yet become a member, please consider it because your support is incredibly important to our club. Membership is only $25-35, depending on your class year, and helps our club provide tremendous programming throughout the year.
