Join us tonight at Buffalo Billiards for the first DCYP happy hour of 2013! Stop by any time between 6 and 8pm to hang out with other young professionals and learn about all of our upcoming events.
Then, this Saturday join in the excitement and come cheer on the DC Rollergirls! Email dcyp.social@gmail.com for details and to sign-up. Finally, next Saturday January 19 we will be participating in the MLK Day of Service. Email dcyp.service@gmail.com for details and to sign-up.

Happy Hour Meet & Greet
Where: Buffalo Billiards (1330 19th Street NW)
When: Wednesday, January, 9, 6 - 8 pm
Metro: Dupont Circle (Red)
Come meet and hang out with fellow young professionals at this upcoming happy hour / meet and greet. Drop in any time you want between 6pm and 8pm. You can also pick up information on the upcoming service projects and events. Buffalo Billiards has pool, shuffle board, darts, and skee-ball. They also have great happy hour specials. Just ask the host for Kiwanis or look for the red balloon. See you there!
DC Rollergirls Social
Where: DC Armory (2001 East Capitol Street)
When: Saturday, January 12, 3:30 - 6:00 pm
Metro: Stadium Armory (Blue / Orange)
Come join us cheer on the DC Rollargirls at their bout on the 12th! Two bouts will take place, first one starts at 4:00. Tickets are $12 and can be purchased at the door. We are meeting early in order not to miss a moment of the bout.

MLK Day of Service

When: Saturday, January 19, 9:00am - 1:30 pm

In honor of Dr. King, we will be participating in a day of service on Saturday, January 19. More details to come soon!! Please sign up with the service team at dcyp.service@gmail.com to let us know if you are interested in participating.
General Meeting
Where: West End Library (1101 24th Street, NW )
When: Wednesday, January 30, 7 - 8:30 pm
Metro: Foggy Bottom (Blue / Orange)
Members and guests, join us for the first meeting of 2013! At the meeting, you can learn ways to get involved with service projects and socials in the new year, and also participate in an in-house service project. Ready to become an official member? Just join before the meeting to be part of the new member induction ceremony. Email Membership Director Ajay dcyp.membership@gmail.com for details. The meeting will be in the group room on the second floor.
Food For All
Where: Universalist National Memorial Church (1810 16th St NW)
When: Saturday, February 2, 9am - 12pm
Metro: U Street (Green/Yellow) & Dupont Circle (Red)
Help package and deliver boxes of food to DC families in need. From 9-10am, we will help pack over one hundred boxes with non-perishable food items. Then, we will divide into cars and blanket the city to deliver the food. To sign up, email dcyp.service@gmail.com and please indicate if you are willing to help drive a group for deliveries.
Street Outreach

When: Tuesday, February 12, 6 - 8pm
Metro: TBD
DCYP is organizing its own street outreach project! Join us on Tuesday, February 12 as we will be preparing and delivering sandwiches in various DC downtown neighborhoods to homeless people in the area. Meet up location TBD. We will have more details finalized soon. Please email dcyp.service@gmail.com if you are interested in participating. If you cannot make the February date, we will be doing the same project one night in March as well.
