It will be the perfect afternoon for a picnic and hike with DCYPers. See below for details and be sure to RSVP today to join a carpool.  On November 14th, we are returning to the Easter Seals to host a Fall Festival (traditionally this has been a Halloween Carnival) for the children and their families. Lots of enthusiastic volunteers will be needed for this special event so please save the date and watch for more info next week.  Have a great weekend!  Amanda Upcoming Events​ Hike and Picnic at Great Falls Where: Great Falls National Park, McLean, VA When: Sunday, October 11 (12:00 PM - 3:00 PM) Get outside and join us for a picnic and hike at Great Falls National Park on October 11!  We'll grill up some lunch to enjoy around noon then indulge in the great outdoors until late afternoon! Contact dcyp.social@gmail.com to sign up and please let us know if you are able to help drive.  October Happy Hour at RFD  Where: RFD, 810 7th Street NW When: Thursday, October 22 (6:00 PM - 8:00 PM) Metro: Gallery Place-Chinatown (RED, YELLOW. GREEN)  Join us at RFD for a mid-October happy hour Thursday, October 22nd from 6-8pm! Come connect with other interested (and interesting) DCYP volunteers and enjoy what RFD has to offer! Just look for the red balloon. Fall Festival (NEW) Where: Easter Seals, 1420 Spring Street, Silver Spring, MD When: Saturday, November 14 (9:30am - 2:00pm) Metro: Silver Spring DCYP is hosting a Fall Festival (traditionally it's been a Halloween Carnival) for the children and families of the Easter Seals Respite program. Many of these children are disabled or are children of Wounded Warriors. Lots of enthusiastic volunteers are needed to help run fall-themed activities and crafts, serve lunch, set up, break down, and more. Stay tuned as we finalize all the activities!
