DC Public Schools Beautification Day
Where:Tyler Elementary School (1001 G St. SE)
When: Saturday, August 24 9:00am - 1:00pm

DCPS Beautification Day is the official day for a citywide "spruce up" of all DC public school buildings in preparation for students' first day back to school. As volunteers gather at schools across the city, DCYP Kiwanis will return for a third year to help Tyler Elementary School with things like painting, landscaping, carpet cleaning, and more! Where: Washington Printmaker's Gallery (Second floor of the Pyramid Atlantic Art Center- 8230 George Ave Silver Spring, MD 20910)
When: Saturday, August 17 6:00 - 8:00pm

JOIN US for cocktails, excellent company and a toast to DC Young Professionals Kiwanis' eight years of serving the DC community. This year's charter event will take place at the Washington Printmaker's Gallery in the Pyramid Atlantic Art Center in Downtown Silver Spring and will feature heavy hors d’oeuvres and an open bar selection of local beers and wines. Afterward, continue the celebration with us at some nearby bars in Silver Spring.
Wine and gift baskets will be up for raffle in support of the Eliminate Project. ($1 per ticket; members present will receive a complimentary ticket.) Items in the raffle include an exclusive wine tasting for 20 people at Total Wine & Spirits (Valued at $500) as well as gift baskets and tastings at Oak Barrel Vineyard!
