Come to Elephant & Castle in Farragut tonight for happy hour! We are still collecting items to place in the care packages that will be delivered to the homeless next week, so if you have any unopened, travel-size toiletries (detailed list below), feel free to bring them with you.

- Kleenex packs
- shampoo
- deodorant
- hand sanitizer
Don't forget to sign-up to deliver these care packages to the homeless during our Street Outreach service project next Tuesday, February 12. See below or email dcyp.service@gmail.com for more information.

Happy Hour / Meet & Greet
Where: Elephant & Castle (900 19th Street Northwest )
When: Wednesday, February 6, 6 - 8 pm
Metro: Farragut North/West (Red/Blue/Orange)
Come meet and hang out with fellow young professionals at happy hour / meet and greet at Elephant & Castle in Farragut. 900 19th Street Northwest, Washington, DC 20006 near the Farragut metro stops. Drop in anytime between 6 and 8pm. You can also pick up information on the upcoming service projects and events. See you all soon! Just ask the host for Kiwanis or look for the balloon. Don't forget to bring your travel-size toiletries! These toiletries will be given to homeless people during our Street Outreach project on February 12.
Street Outreach
Where: 1899 L Street NW, 5th Floor, Washington, DC
When: Tuesday, February 12, 6 - 8pm
Metro: Farragut North/West (Red/Blue/Orange)
DCYP is organizing its own street outreach project! Join us on Tuesday, February 12 as we will be preparing and delivering sandwiches in various DC downtown neighborhoods to homeless people in the area. We will be meeting at the location listed above. Please email dcyp.service@gmail.com if you are interested in participating. If you cannot make the February date, we will be doing the same project one night in March as well.
Brunch & Museum
Where: The Tabard Inn (1739 N Street Northwest)
When: Saturday, February 23, 10am - 1pm
Metro: Dupont Circle (Red)
Join in a lazy Saturday with fellow DCYP'ers with brunch at The Tabard Inn in Dupont followed by a stroll over to The Phillips Collection. The cost of that museum is $12. You are welcome to join for just brunch as well, if the museum doesn't strike your fancy. Email dcyp.social@gmail.com if you are interested. We will make reservations for brunch so RSVP by 2/15/13. Thanks!!
Food & Friends
Where: Food & Friends (219 Riggs Road NE)
When: Saturday, March 2, 9am - 12pm
Metro: Fort Totten (Green / Yellow / Red)
This March, DCYP is returning for a Saturday morning at Food and Friends! Groups to help with meal preparation and grocery packing are in constant demand at Food & Friends' facility in Northeast Washington, DC. A terrific activity, people work together to help get the day's worth of meals -- an average of 3,200 daily -- out the doors. Our group will likely be portioning and packaging food for their Home Delivered Meals program in addition to helping to prepare meals. To sign up, email dcyp.service@gmail.com.
