Brunch & Museum
Where: Rosemary's Thyme Bistro (1801 18th Street Northwest)
When: Saturday, February 23, 10am - 1pm
Metro: Dupont Circle (Red)
Join in a lazy Saturday with fellow DCYP'ers with brunch at Rosemary's Thyme Bistro in Dupont followed by a stroll over to The Phillips Collection. The cost of that museum is $12. You are welcome to join for just brunch as well, if the museum doesn't strike your fancy. Email dcyp.social@gmail.com if you are interested. We will make reservations for brunch so RSVP as soon as possible if you plan on attending. Thanks!!
Food & Friends
Where: Food & Friends (219 Riggs Road NE)
When: Saturday, March 2, 9am - 12pm
Metro: Fort Totten (Green / Yellow / Red)
Volunteer with DCYP Kiwanis for a morning at Food and Friends' kitchen. Volunteers work together to help prepare a day's worth of healthy meals -- an average of 3,200 daily -- for individuals living with life-challenging illnesses. Our group will likely be preparing, portioning and packaging food for their Home Delivered Meals program. To sign up to volunteer, email dcyp.service@gmail.com.
Young Professionals Networking Reception
Where: Madhatter (1321 Connecticut Ave NW)
When: Wednesday, March 6, 6 - 8pm
Metro: Dupont Circle (Red) or Farragut West (Blue/Orange)
Join us for a special networking reception to meet other young professionals and learn about ways to become more involved with the community through DCYP. Guests, friends, and coworkers are welcome! Appetizers will be provided. The event will take place in the upstairs bar of Madhatter. To attend, please RSVP to dcyp.membership@gmail.com, or respond via Meetup or Facebook.
Age in Place Home Maintenance Project
Where: Seabury at Home First (2501 18th St., NE)
When: Saturday, March 23, 9am-12pm
Metro: Rhode Island (Red)
Home First is an organization that serves low income senior citizens by helping with home maintenance in an effort to allow them to continue living independently. DCYP will spend a morning at the home of one of these seniors to help with projects such as yardwork, cleaning and painting. This project is limited to 10 people so please email the service committee at dcyp.service@gmail.com to sign-up.

The Kiwanis Club of N.W. Washington invites the members of DCYP Kiwanis to attend a special event and fundraiser:
Chinese New Year Banquet
Where: Hollywood East Café (11160 Veirs Mill Rd., Wheaton, MD)
When: Saturday, February 23, 7 - 9 pm
Metro: Wheaton (red)
Tickets: $40.00
Join the Kiwanis Club of N.W. Washington for a fundraising banquet and Lion Dance in celebration of the Chinese New Year. The banquet will include dinner, entertainment by the Washington Chinese Youth Group, and a cash bar. For details and to attend the event with other members of DCYP Kiwanis, email Amanda at dcyp.president@gmail.com. This fundraiser will benefit service projects including the 3rd Annual Kiwanis Spring Carnival at the Boys & Girls Club.
