Where: Joseph Hensley Park (4200 Eisenhower Ave, Alexandria, VA) – (Short drive from Van Dorn Metro - please note in your RSVP if you need transportation from the metro to the park.)

Croquet Day is a tournament-style competition for individuals and families that benefits SCAN, an organization that provides advocacy and support for children and families in Northern Virginia. The tournament attracts roughly 200 participants and spectators and helps raise vital funds for SCAN's child abuse and neglect prevention programs. Volunteer roles include helping at the food tents, registration, score keeping, photography, etc.

>> RSVP on Meetup or contact Stacey at dcyp.service@gmail.com.

Volunteer at Bikes for the World (NEW)

When: Thursday, June 22, 6:00-8:00 PM

Where: Bikes for the World, 11720 Parklawn Dr, Rockville, MD

Join us at the Bikes for the World warehouse to help prep bikes for shipping overseas. Bikes for the World makes quality used bicycles and parts available to lower income people in developing countries and works to generate skilled employment in bicycle repair and maintenance overseas. No prior bike knowledge necessary; they will show you what you need to know! Prepping bikes for shipping involves taking the pedals off and loosening handlebars and other parts that make the bikes taller or wider. By reducing the footprint of the bikes, we are able to pack more into a shipping container, therefore increasing the value of the donation.

>> RSVP on Meetup or contact dcyp.service@gmail.com.

I really should branch out more).
You: Tidy, respectful, open communicator. Women preferred, but all are welcome to inquire about the space. Please contact Connie or Nicole with a few sentences about yourself (how long you've been in the DMV area, where you're from, if you're looking for short- or long-term housing, your occupation, what a compatible roommate would be like for you, pets, etc.) and any questions that you may have for me!  Connie LaSalle (future roommate) lasalle.connie@gmail.com

*** 4/24 Hello! My name is Nick Van Lieshout (ND '17) and I just got an apartment at The Edge in Fairfax Corner and I'm currently looking for a roommate. The location is great- 10 minutes from downtown Fairfax and 10 minutes from the consulting firm I'll be working at in Centreville. I'm looking for someone to take my place in a 2 bed/2 bath apartment in Flats 130 (http://www.flats130.com/), located in NoMa (just north of Union Station). I can be flexible on the move-in date (July-September). My roommate did not go to ND, but she's great (grad student at Catholic, female, 30, easygoing). The lease has been going for a while, so it is a bit under market (about $1,300 per person plus utilities). The bedrooms are pretty big, with large closets and private bathrooms. The building has a pool, gym, coffee, printer, club room, etc. Ideally, my roommate is looking for a grad student or professional, late 20s to early 30s, progressive, clean, and responsible. The apartment can be pet-friendly. For more information (including photos), please email joseph.m.berndt@gmail.com***

*** 4/12 I will have a room available from April 26th through May 31st. I live in a 2-bedroom apartment in Adams Morgan with one roommate who is a 2014 Notre Dame graduate like me. I will be moving out on April 25th, but our lease does not end until May 31st, so we are looking for somebody to rent my room for the month. My open room could be a good option for somebody as a place to stay while they search for a more permanent option. You can reach me at pmmcummings1@gmail.com for more information. Thanks! Peter***
