I want to live within a 5-minute or so walk to the metro. I won't have a car. I do love the Dupont area, though I know it's pricey so I am open to anything as long as it has a city-like feel. My price range is $1200 or less (I hope!). About me - I'm super friendly, usually funny, like to have fun, and pretty laid-back. I love traveling (I've lived in Madrid for this year, studied in Santiago, Chile, and interned in Dublin), and I plan to travel as much as possible on weekends still. The apartment is a five-minute walk from the metro and all the restaurants and shops along Connecticut Avenue, as well as a ten-minute walk to Adams Morgan. The rent is $1,190, and this includes utilities (except cable and internet, which can be dealt with separately), a garage parking spot, and a fitness center. Downstairs there is one other roommate - a guy who works in finance. Also pretty active and outgoing. Very clean and organized, which is a something that we all in the house care about. The location: The neighborhood is quiet with a quaint feeling and strong sense of community and friendship :) Grocery, shops, restaurants, and public transportation are all just a block away. 2 min walk to grocery, restaurants, bars, drug store, public library, tennis courts, and the community center, which has a large olympic sized pool available free to DC residents. 7 min. walk to Takoma metro station (red line) and Main Street Takoma bars/restaurants. Easy access to public transportation. Plenty of bus routes that can take you downtown.***
