Volunteer with Bright Beginnings at Gymboree (NEW!)

When: TOMORROW, Saturday, February 11, 1:30 - 3:00 PM

Where: Gymboree Play & Music, 2639 Connecticut Avenue, NW #113, Washington, DC

The Kiwanis Club of Washington, D.C. is hosting an event for Bright Beginnings at Gymboree Play & Music this Saturday afternoon. We have a room reserved with trampolines and jungle gyms and will be providing transportation to/from the event for the families. Bright Beginnings is dedicated to meeting the immediate needs of children and families living in homeless environments. DC Young Professionals interested in volunteering tomorrow may RSVP to Amanda at DCYP.Communications@gmail.com.

 

 

Ski Trip to Liberty Mountain Resort

When: Saturday, February 25, 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM

Where: Liberty Mountain Ski Resort, Carroll Valley ,PA

Escape the city and join us for a day of skiing, snowboarding or snow tubing at Liberty Mountain Ski Resort! The resort is approximately 90 minutes from DC and we are coordinating carpools from various locations. For more information, email Jarrod at dcyp.social@gmail.com or RSVP on Meetup.

 

 

Volunteer with DC Books to Prisons Project 

When: Monday, February 27, 6:30 - 8:30 PM

Where: Foundry United Methodist Church, Basement (1500 16th St NW, Washington, DC)

Join us as we fulfill prisoners' requests with the DC Books to Prisons Project at the Foundry United Methodist Church. We will round up donated books to send to prisoners based on their interests articulated through letters. Please arrive no later than 6:30 pm for the required orientation. The B2P project supports prison libraries in 35 states and sends out more than 5,000 packages annually. This program has been around for more than 10 years and is truly one of a kind. RSVP on Meetup or contact Stacey at dcyp.service@gmail.com.

When: Tuesday, March 14, 6:30 - 8:00 PM

Where: Philos Bar (401 Massachusetts Ave., NW, Washington, DC)

Join DC Young Professionals for a meeting and new member meet & greet at Philos from 6:30-8:00PM with a brief program at 7:15PM.
