[TalkForChange:690] Ringing in a new year at Talk For Change

Dear fellow TFC Toastmasters,

As new club President I want to welcome everyone to another Toastmasters year.
Since the Toastmaster's year starts July 1, you all now have another chance to make your New Year's resolutions. So give some thought to what personal goals you want to pursue in public speaking or leadership over the next 12 months.

I also want to take this opportunity to thank our immediate past president Mark Wills for the tremendous work he has done for the club. TFC has achieved Select Distinguished Club status, has quite a few more members than a year ago, and now, at last, a new home at Madhatter's - with our own private room! And those achievements don't begin to capture the energy and enthusiasm Mark brought to the club, plus his significant contributions to making it an inviting and comfortable environment for everyone to grow as a speaker, and generally speak one's mind!

This year we have a solid Club Officer list - seven strong, including three past presidents (of this and other clubs). I am quite confident that TFC is going to be in (14) good hands.

I look forward to seeing you next Wednesday, July 6.
