HAPPY HOUR - IRISH PUBLIC WHISKEY (THURSDAY, 7/20)
We will be hosting a ND Young Alums summer Happy Hour on Wednesday, July 20 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Irish Whiskey Public House (19th & M St NW) in Dupont Circle. Happy Hour specials are $4 for rail mixed drinks, select beer, and wine. We look forward to seeing you there!
NATIONALS VS. ORIOLES (THURSDAY, 8/22)
Join the ND Club of MD and ND Club of DC for the joint Battle of the Beltway Orioles vs. Nationals game at Camden Yards. The game is Monday, August 22 at 7:05pm. All of our tickets are together in 352 section and each ticket costs $20. Sign up online at http://maryland.undclub.org/osnats2016. Tickets MUST be purchased by NEXT Monday July 11. Stay tuned for updates on pre-game meeting location.
CATHOLIC CHARITIES MEN'S SHELTER ORGANIZATION & CLEAN UP (Saturday, 7/16)
The NDDC is volunteering with Catholic Charities at the 801 East Men's Shelter in Washington DC on Saturday, July 16. The 801 East Shelter features two programs: a low-barrier, 12-hour emergency shelter and a 24-hour, transitional program for men ready to take the next step past substance abuse and toward independent living. They need volunteer support from 10 AM - 1 PM to assist with cleanup and organization of the facility.
The shelter is located off 2700 Martin Luther King Jr. Ave SE, just inside Gate 3 of the old St. Elizabeth's Hospital campus and there's plenty of parking at the site. Please email Matt Hopke at mhopke@gmail.com if you are interested and feel free to pass on the invite!
CHESAPEAKE BAYHAWKS (THURSDAY, 7/21)
The Chesapeake Bayhawks are the professional men's lacrosse team in Annapolis; one of their players, Nick Ossello, is an ND alum! Support Nick and the team at the Bayhawks' game against the Atlanta Blaze on Thursday, July 21. To purchase your ND alum discounted ticket, visit thebayhawks.com and select "Single Game Tickets". Click the "Order Online" button at the bottom of the page, and scroll down to single events to click "Buy Tickets". Enter special offer code "nd721," and select "Hawk's Nest" dropdown. Enter your desired quantity of tickets to receive the $12 Group Hawks Nest tickets.
SAVE THE DATE - BOAT CRUISE (FRIDAY, 8/12)
Mark your calendars for the evening of Friday, August 12 — it's time to relive your SYR glory days! ND-DC-YA is hosting our annual private three-hour cruise off of the Georgetown Waterfront — complete with hors d'oeuvres and an open bar. Ticket purchase details will be available soon.
