It's sure to be crowded and crazy but we think it'll be well worth it! Details about how to attend the event-- which will be held on the National Mall between the Washington Monument and the Capitol-- are forthcoming. We will set a meeting point at an accessible Metro stop once details are released and head over together. Email dcyp.social@gmail.com to sign-up, and stay tuned for more details!

We will be meeting outside the L'Enfant Plaza metro station (silver/orange/blue & yellow/green lines) at the corner of 7th and D Streets at 6pm sharp.Look for the red balloon! Due to the size of expected crowds, please plan ahead and make sure you arrive on time so we can get to the National Mall in a timely fashion. Don't forget to wear lots of layers!

Slice of Life is their annual fundraiser where they ask supporters to buy pies for both themselves and their clients. More information can be found here, maybe you can buy a couple of pies while you're exploring the site too! Food & Friends has been operating in Greater DC area for more than 20 years, from preparing meals and groceries to providing counseling for people living with life-challenging illnesses. This should be a wonderful volunteering experience right in time for the holidays to show our support and how much we care. More information can be found here.

If anyone is able and willing to help with deliveries too, please note so we can inform F&F before we arrive. Email dcyp.service@gmail.com to sign-up.

Gathering at a large warehouse for a fun clothing-sorting party, DCYP will join hundreds of other volunteers to assist in sorting and bagging clothing donations. The event is always a favorite project of DCYP members! If you have clothing you would like to donate, feel free to bring it to the project.

Our shift starts at 8:30 am where there will be a short orientation but there are a lot of people here so don't worry if you can't make it at 8:30, happy just to have you when you can arrive. Our shift ends at 12:30 but again it's very flexible so you are welcome to take off earlier if needed. To register for the event please email
dcyp.service@gmail.com.
