[NSCoderNightDC] Seeking short-term iOS contractor (2-3 months)

Howdy everybody,

My current contracting gig is for PINGMD, a medical messaging app that you can check out here:

https://www.pingmd.com/

They're looking to ramp up development for a couple of months. Plausible has no spare manpower to give them, so they've asked if I might help in finding someone else. Thus this e-mail.

The app is released and has been out for quite a while now, but feature development continues at a decent pace. Your task would be to pitch in with that and develop additional features for the app, such as diagnostic forms, messaging improvements, UI tweaks/fixes/upgrades, and whatever else needs doing.

Since the app is already well past 1.0, you get all the benefits of a reasonably mature code base, like good structures to work in, decent domain-specific code available, gigantic messes that nobody wants to touch but still work OK for the moment, etc. You'll also get to work with me (I'm currently the only developer on the iOS end) which could either be an incredible opportunity or a reason to ask for hazard rates.

The company is based in NYC but this would be totally remote with no travel needed. It's a really small company with no red tape or other nonsense. The CEO gets involved with development but trusts our judgment, which works pretty well. They're looking for someone to work full time, but the hours are completely flexible. It's *possible* that they would accept someone part-time if they had to, so if you're interested in that, it could be worth asking about.

They're looking for someone to start ASAP and go for 2-3 months. Completely unofficially and just from me, if they like you and circumstances warrant, I think it could potentially turn into a longer term thing if you were also willing. No guarantees.

If this sounds like something you might be interested in, let me know and I can introduce you. Or if you have questions about the thing, I'm happy to answer. I should be at the meeting tonight on the off chance anyone wants to do that in person.

Mike
