All are welcome to attend.  Also, don't forget that ticket prices for the Evening at the Gallery have been extended until March 14. Be sure to purchase your tickets today!  Ashley Upcoming Events  Special Events Planning Meeting Where: The Exchange (1719 G St NW)  When: Tuesday, March 4, 6:30 - 7:30pm Metro: Farragut West / North (Orange / Blue / Red) Join the Special Events Committee for Happy Hour at The Exchange! We will be finalizing the plans for our annual club fundraiser and celebration that will take place on March 22. In addition, we will begin making plans for our Spring STEM Carnival! Whether you are a member with feedback about past events, or someone new interested in giving a helping hand, EVERYONE is welcome! Happy Hour / Meet and Greet  Where: Mackeys (1823 L Street NW) When: Tuesday, March 11, 6:00 - 8:00pm  Metro: Farragut (Red / Blue / Orange) Join us for our March Happy Hour at Mackeys. Enjoy great happy hour specials while meeting other young professionals. You can also pick up information about upcoming service projects and events. Just look for the red balloon most likely in the back at the bar area.  Dinner at Miriam's Kitchen Where: Miriam's Kitchen (2401 Virginia Ave NW)  When: Friday, March 14, 4:00 - 6:30pm Metro: Foggy Bottom (Orange / Blue) DCYP is returning to Miriam's Kitchen for a second service project on Friday, March 14 - this time to help prepare and serve dinner! Miriam's Kitchen works to end chronic homelessness in Washington, DC. They advocate for permanent supportive housing as a long-term solution, while meeting short-term needs by providing healthy meals and high-quality social services to the chronically homeless. Volunteers are needed from 4-6:30 pm for the dinner shift. A limited number of volunteer spots are available. To sign up, please email DCYP.Service@gmail.com. Cherry Blossom Kite Festival *NEW* Where: National Mall When: Saturday, March 29, 1:00 - 3:00pm Metro: Smithsonian (Orange / Blue) For our March social, join us for a picnic on the National Mall during the Cherry Blossom Kite Festival and watch thousands of kites fill the skies! 	You're Invited to the DCYP Evening at the Gallery Where: The Fridge DC- Art Gallery (516 8th Street SE Rear alley) When: Saturday, March 22 6:00 - 9:00pm  Metro: Eastern Market (Orange / Blue) JOIN US for cocktails, excellent company and a toast to DC Young Professionals Kiwanis' nine years of serving the DC community. This year's event will take place at The Fridge DC Gallery in Eastern Market and will feature heavy hors d’oeuvres and an open bar selection of beer and wine. Afterward, continue the celebration with us at some nearby bars in Eastern Market. Wine and gift baskets will be up for raffle in support of the DCYP Science and Technology youth carnival. ($1 per ticket). Friends, dates, co-workers, grandmothers encouraged! All proceeds will support DCYP Kiwanis' efforts throughout the year to serve local schools, homeless outreach programs, youth carnivals, and more!
