Kiwanis members serve their communities all year long. But the excitement for service really builds in April each year when Kiwanis members come together for Kiwanis One Day—a day of community service that is felt around the world. On this year's Kiwanis One Day, DCYP is teaming up with the rest of the Kiwanis Family for a school beautification project at Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Elementary School. Volunteer with us this Saturday morning as we return to a DCYP favorite, Age-in-Place. We will help local senior citizens with basic home maintenance, cleaning, and maybe some yard work, enabling them to continue to live independently in their homes - this project truly means the world to them. Please see below for details, and plan to stick around afterwards for a group brunch.

We also hope to see you at our quarterly Meeting and New Member Meet & Greet on March 22nd. If you've been to a few events and are considering joining officially, now is the perfect time to get involved! Just contact Carly at dcyp.membership@gmail.com for details.

Volunteer with Age-In-Place
Where: Seabury at Home First, 2501 18th Street NE 
When: Saturday, March 12, 9:00 AM-12:00 PM
Metro: Rhode Island Ave-Brentwood  
We are very excited to be working with Seabury Resources for Aging once again! A favorite project of many of our members, Age-In-Place provides basic home maintenance such as house cleaning and yard maintenance to older adults living in DC's Wards 4 and 5. The program allows the eldery to continue living independently in their homes with a little outside assistance from volunteers like DCYP. 
RSVP on meetup or email dcyp.service@gmail.comPlease note in your response if you will be riding the metro so we can coordinate rides from Rhode Island Ave-Brentwood. As always, we'll plan a brunch for afterwards! 

Happy Hour before Underground Comedy @ The Big Hunt!
