· (URGENT) (NEW) Hello, my name is Grace Welte.  I am a Notre Dame student looking for housing in the DC area near McLean, VA for a 2-3 month summer internship with Deloitte that starts the first week of June.  I am tidy and neat and get along great with others.  I would prefer a housing community with a pool if possible, but I am open to any options.  Please contact me at gwelte@nd.edu or call 606-407-0108.  Thank you!

· (URGENT) (NEW) My name is Nikitha Taniparti and I am currently a junior at Notre Dame. I am interning at the Institute of International Education with the Fulbright Scholarship Program this summer from May 20th to August 15th. Please contact me at ntanipar@nd.edu if you are interested. Thank you!

ND ALUMNI SOCCER TEAM 2013

Dear Irish Alums,The ND Alumni Soccer season is here, and we're looking for new players to join us on the pitch this year.  All skill levels are welcome, as we try to play competitively (I mean, we are the "Fighting" Irish), but the most important thing is everyone plays a lot and has a great time kicking the ball around with their fellow alums.

Games are on Sundays from now through June at McKinley Technology High School (T Street NE, Washington, DC).  If you are interested, please e-mail Michael Osysko (michael.e.osysko@gmail.com) right away, so he can add you to the roster before the game this upcoming Sunday.  We have a good core of returning players, but have had some people move over the past year and are in need of some new players, especially females (we could always use more males too, so don't let that deter you in the least, as like I said, everyone gets plenty of p-time). Hope to see you on the field! GO IRISH!

ND ALUMNI SOFTBALL 2013

Lads and Lasses.  The 2013 Capital Alumni Network (CAN) Co-Ed Softball League season is just about to begin.  No seriously, the first game is next Friday, April 19th and our second is April 25th.  Though we have a great core group that has played for several years, we are always looking for new faces who like to play some ball and drink some beverages.  If you have a glove, and/or like drinking beers mid-week, then you qualify!  Boom.  Just like that.  For more information please contact coach Jimmy Mandich '02/'03 MSA at jimmymandich@yahoo.com or Brandon Lenk '06/'07 Arkie (stupid Jimmy with his dual year degrees, I could walk twice too ya know!) at brandonlenk@gmail.com.  Or both of us just to be safe.  Go Irish!

DC YOUNG ADULT THEOLOGY ON TAP SERIES

The Office of Young Adult Ministry is happy to announce the return of Theology on Tap at a *NEW* location at Buffalo Billiards in Dupont Circle! Tuesdays during Easter (May 7) all YAs (21-late 30s) are invited for Happy Hour from 6-7pm with a talk and Q/A to follow from 7-8pm. Bring friends and plan to meet some new ones this Spring while learning more about issues like faith and entrepreneurship, the media and the church, and don't miss Cardinal Wuerl talking about his experience in Rome at the conclave! Learn more at https://www.facebook.com/DCYoungAdult or email Jonathan Lewis at yam@adw.org.

ANNUAL WREATH LAYING AT THE TOMB OF THE UNKNOWN SOLDIER 5/26

Sunday, May 26 – 10:15 a.m.
Arlington Cemetery, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier

The ND Alumni Club of Washington, DC, is scheduled to place a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldiers on Sunday, May 26, at 12:15 p.m., in honor of Notre Dame alumni who have personified the words "God, Country, Notre Dame."  Everyone is welcome to join us for the ceremony.  Keep in mind that the Tomb is a 20-minute walk from the Visitor Center, Metro stop, and Parking, so please plan accordingly.  Army protocol calls for four people to accompany our wreath.  Please contact David Diaz '95 at cerritos117@msn.com if you would like to volunteer or to nominate a current or former member of our Armed Services or if you have any questions about the event.  We will meet on the south side of the Amphitheater Building.

Special Message from our DCYP Eliminate Club Coordinator

Kiwanians!
Mother's Day is around the corner! What are you getting for you own mother? What about the mothers across the globe who may never get to receive a gift from their child when they get older?

As a Kiwanian, it's your responsibility to serve the children of the world.
Aside from service projects, one of the best ways is to donate to a Kiwanis International team project that saves the lives of many babies and the pain of many mothers.
Please watch this youtube video (you don't even need sound to hear it).
And then head over to the following website to donate on your club's behalf. And share it with others you may know who would love to donate! https://secure.qgiv.com/for/kifeli2/

Let's represent our club on a district level by fundraising at least $200 this month!
Any questions? Contact Me! znayyar2010@gmail.com

[tfctoastmasters:465] TFC May 1 Meeting Agenda

Hello Toastmasters,

Please find attached tonight's meeting agenda.

Our meeting begins at 6:45pm and is located at 1875 Connecticut Avenue, at the intersection of Connecticut Avenue and T Street across from the Washington Hilton Hotel. Please try to arrive by 6:40pm to ensure that we start and end on time. If you have a role and are running late, please be sure to text me at 202-821-8074 so we can plan accordingly.

The building is located approximately 3 blocks from the Dupont Circle Metro (red line), North exit on the right. You can also take the 42 Bus heading north from Metro Center. If you need to park, there are normally metered spots in front of building on Connecticut available, as well as some spots on T Street. There are two entrances (1825 & 1875) and we need to enter through the 1875 entrance ("Universal North"). The doors will be locked, so we will meet in the lobby before the meeting. If you come after the start of the meeting, the building guard will let you inside. Please give the guard your name, let them know you are there for Toastmasters, and he or she will let you up to the meeting on the 12th floor at the American Public Power Association's main conference room.

Cheers!
Tanya
