[wapadc] Fwd: Vote for Archaeology in the Community

Hi all,

Archaeology in the Community is participating in Project for Awesome (P4A) this year. If you haven't heard of it before, it's a fundraiser and competition organized by John and Hank Green (you may know John Green as the author of sad books for teens such as The Fault in our Stars and cameos on the TV show Welcome to Wrexham and his brother, Hank Green, as a science communicator who produces SciShow and Crash Course). During P4A, people create videos about great causes, people vote on those videos, and the top causes receive funding. We need your help. Voting happens in a 48-hour window that started today and ends at 11:59 AM Eastern Time on February 18. Ways you can help:

  1. Vote! Here is a link directly to the P4A website where you can vote for Archaeology in the Community before Sunday.
  2. If you can, please share this link with as many people as possible during the voting window through social media, listservs, friends, and family. It will help us gain more visibility, more votes, and a greater chance at receiving funding. We're the only archaeology-related organization participating, so we want to show what our community can do.

Thank you so much for your support. My apologies if you receive emails about this several times this weekend!

Best,

Beth
