Dear WAPA colleagues
I have a colleague/former student who is interested in discovering & discussing resources on cultural perception of violence and perception of medical procedures with medical or other anthropologists. Tamra is a family medicine physician practicing full-spectrum care at every phase of life-- from pre-conception counseling and contraception and abortion, through prenatal care, labor and delivery, pediatrics, adolescence, women and men's health, geriatrics, and palliative and end of life care. She is esp. interested cultural and social perceptions of procedures such as advanced cardiac resuscitation (code resuscitation) and abortion. among others.
Any help would be much appreciated --and perhaps there might be research collaboration opportunities (the last comment is my insertion).
My former student is is Tamra Travers, MD and she can be contacted directly; I dont need to be in the loop: tamiam23@gmail.com
